That he was being over the top to illustrate a point and that now the dust has settled he realizes how deep he is in and does the right thing. honestly I'm ok with a ruined economy and taking healthcare away from people. I don't like it but we can rebuild. the prospect of nuclear war though is something you cant really bounce back from. he has very thin skin and becoming president doesn't change that base character flaw.

There are a few advantages to the situation:
1. Whenever my religious friends and family start making claims about the importance of morality, I can openly laugh in their faces.
2. The Republicans now control the White House, the Senate, and the House. When they can't deliver their campaign promises, or even function in general, they'll have no one to blame but themselves.
3. Millennials will get the dope smack they need to realize that the relatively progressive society they've known all their lives was not to be taken for granted.
4. When the sure-to-come tax cuts fail to provide prosperity, fail to bring jobs back to the US, triple the deficit, and crash the economy, My 401k dollars will be buying stocks at bargain-basement prices.
