OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

I am hoping I was right in that the Trump we saw in the election process is not the real Trump. That he was being over the top to illustrate a point and that now the dust has settled he realizes how deep he is in and does the right thing. If not, it is going to be hard to come back from these next 4 years.

To be fair, he has spent the vast majority of his adult life as a Democrat.

It's good to know now that if you cast an absentee ballot it's only counted when the OH SHIT factor drops.

I guess that cheating on one's wife is going to be a litmus test for serving in his administration? I guess I need to get busy... :quag:
Beats letting innocent people who are begging for help and protection die in an angry mob.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/jul/15/donald-trumps-top-10-campaign-promises/

1. ‘Build a wall’ — and make Mexico pay for it
2. Temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States
3. ‘Bring manufacturing (jobs) back’
4. Impose tariffs on goods made in China and Mexico
5. Renegotiate or withdraw from the North American Free Trade Agreement and Trans-Pacific Partnership
6. ‘Full repeal of Obamacare’ and replace it with a market-based alternative
7. Renegotiate the Iran deal
8. Leave Social Security as is
9. Cut taxes
10. ‘Bomb’ and/or ‘take the oil’ from ISIS

And which of these does his administration having any hope of even semi-accomplishing?

Serious question.

If he can get congress on board I would imagine we might see some aspects of the majority of those things happen. Minus the wall of course

There is NO president, ever, even today or starting in January who can just send nukes. Congress has to approve.

Yes, It is concerning that North Korea is acting like big shots, Putin is lining up armies on the european border and China running drills in the open seas. The middle east has been a war zone for years. YEARS! I'm not sure if Trump or Clinton could fix that. Nor can any of them respond with nukes just because they were called a Baby.

Only the President can direct the use of nuclear weapons, including the Single Integrated Operational Plan (SIOP). While the President does have unilateral authority as commander-in-chief to order that nuclear weapons be used for any reason at any time, the actual procedures and technical systems in place for authorizing the execution of a launch order requires a secondary confirmation under a two-man rule, as the President's order is subject to secondary confirmation by the Secretary of Defense. If the Secretary of Defense does not concur, then the President may in his sole discretion fire the Secretary. The Secretary of Defense has legal authority to approve the order, but cannot veto it

so you are saying trump wouldn't just use his famous "you're fired" line?

It is what it is. The pendulum swings left, then it swings right. It will swing further left next time...

Time to go underground and pretend to assimilate.

We complain that elected officials break campaign promises. Well, here are his campaign promises. As reprehensible as they are, if he doesn't get #1 and #2 done, then we'll know he's just like every other politician. And you'd better believe his supporters will be mad if he doesn't deliver.

Is there actually any proof of this, or is it just lies and slander from the Trump camp that made millions believe this? Again, leave it to the stupid to value possibly suspect email correspondence higher than sexism, racism and xenophobia

It's not just the Trump Camp, it's the right who have been demonizing and slandering her for 25 years.
