I wonder what makes a person wake up and say ‘I think I’d like to own an artillery piece today’.

Got some new accessories for the B&T carbine. A HERA foregrip, a new B&T (inforce rebranded) light, and some mag couplers. I need to get that suppressor next and an optic and the project is done. :) This thing is super fun to shoot and is a great plinker/target gun.

As soon as one of you guys posts on the Weekend Wrapup that you spent Saturday hanging around your local elementary school, I'm calling the FBI.

Personally I’d go CZ 97B over EAA. More $$ but higher quality and cs.
I put an insane number of rounds through a 75b and was still able to get good value out of it on trade that more than made up for the orig purchase difference.

any specific reason you don't like EAA?
i don't ever plan to sell it. don't care about after value.

The cz are typically higher quality with better f&f, better factory support & aftermarket availability. Better authorized dealer presence from what I’ve seen. Not saying EAAs = Taurus but EAA had some frame issues years back and didn’t really stand by their product. They’ve been notorious for poor support & part availability in the past too. Otoh, some folks never have an issue and dig them. Do you have a local auth dealer? Call them and see what their experience has been with warranty & part support.

My experience is that the highest end EAA pistols are usually great, but you're talking $2500 and up.
In a 45acp I'd personally go custom 1911 but again, you're talking $3000 or more. That's why I don't own one. I can't afford the one I want.

I dunno about their handguns, but my cz527 .223 is a veeeeeeerrrrrry well made rifle. Great fit and finish, very good machining, no plastic at all, great woodwork, etc.

Welp, I acquired a cool old lever action rifle over the weekend. A 1979 Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. I'm gonna put a fixed 4x scope on it.

Ammo is nearly obsolete but I'm a reloader. So I went halves on some brass etc. with a buddy who also shoots 35 rem.

congrats. the 35 is an excellent woods deer rifle. i used to hunt with a guy who inherited his grandfather's Marlin 35 Rem. (like 1946). he put a number of deer on the wall with that puppy. :thu:

I picked up a Shield .45 last week.
