Well, crap. It looks like I'm not going to be able to make it. I have a long standing gig that happens on October 17. :(

So, our need for PA equipment is now pretty urgent. As I don't gig, I hadn't planned on buying anything. For those who are coming, let's compile a list of what we've got...

If I ride down with someone from New York, I have a little fender passport suitcase PA I could bring. It would be fine for vocals but if someone has something with more firepower it would probably be an upgrade. And that's only if I ride down with someone, it's too heavy to travel with otherwise.

I'm still looking at renting a car. Amtrak is too expensive.

Looking like $300 before gas, tolls, etc.
Nice. I could also bring my bass amp if one is still needed. MarkBass 2x10. The only thing we would need for the PA is a few microphone stands, I didn't bring any of those with me from Atlanta but I have a few mics.

I've got a pair of these: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-...er-with-2000w-peak-power?rNtt=jbl 225&index=1
With speaker cable, and a small Yamaha mixer that would be plenty for just a few mics.

However, my crown power amp is shoddy and needs sent in for repair. It will get really quiet at times and then come back in. I could throw the speakers in the car but I'd need someone to bring a power amp... AND... I wouldn't also be able to bring a drum kit. I don't think it would all fit.

I'm still not positive I'll be able to bring my kit anyway, as I still haven't set it up to make sure it's all there and functional yet. I'm hoping to do that sometime before long. But as long as it's functional, I'm perfectly willing to bring it.

So, that's what I can offer, if it helps.

If you don't bring your kit, I can bring mine. It isn't the best, but I am a lot closer and could actually take it over earlier. You would want to bring some cymbals though. I only have a high hat and a crash/ride. So that is pretty lame.

I know that you left two cymbal stands at my house a few years ago, and told me to just hold onto them until the next year. I guess if I don't do P-Stock anymore, I should figure out a way to get those back to you.

Oh shit. Yeah I suppose I might want them. You don't worry about it. I can borrow some from my current guitar player if i need some for Barn Storm. And we'll figure something out about getting them later. I make it to wv every now and then.
