I used to be in The Beatles. No problem there. If anyone would be up for a Beatles jam, I could put a little set list together.

Well, crap. It looks like I'm not going to be able to make it. I have a long standing gig that happens on October 17. :(

If I ride down with someone from New York, I have a little fender passport suitcase PA I could bring. It would be fine for vocals but if someone has something with more firepower it would probably be an upgrade. And that's only if I ride down with someone, it's too heavy to travel with otherwise.
I'd be happy to split the cost of the rental.I'm still looking at renting a car. Amtrak is too expensive.

My offer stands...Looking like $300 before gas, tolls, etc.
Nice. I could also bring my bass amp if one is still needed. MarkBass 2x10. The only thing we would need for the PA is a few microphone stands, I didn't bring any of those with me from Atlanta but I have a few mics.Looking like $300 before gas, tolls, etc.
I've got a pair of these: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/jbl-jrx225-dual-15-two-way-passive-loudspeaker-with-2000w-peak-power?rNtt=jbl 225&index=1
With speaker cable, and a small Yamaha mixer that would be plenty for just a few mics.
However, my crown power amp is shoddy and needs sent in for repair. It will get really quiet at times and then come back in. I could throw the speakers in the car but I'd need someone to bring a power amp... AND... I wouldn't also be able to bring a drum kit. I don't think it would all fit.
I'm still not positive I'll be able to bring my kit anyway, as I still haven't set it up to make sure it's all there and functional yet. I'm hoping to do that sometime before long. But as long as it's functional, I'm perfectly willing to bring it.
So, that's what I can offer, if it helps.
