Time to show off your guitars!

They are chambering pretty much everything...this is what most Les Pauls look like inside these days:

Most Les Pauls are not chambered to that extent. The above pic is a true Chambered guitar like the Epiphone Ultra... most are simply "weight relieved" like so.

What's disconcerning about both is the neck tenon doesn't even extend to the top pickup, and theres a HUGE gap at the end of each. PRS necks are precisely fitted and the end of the neck tenon is a tab that extends underneath the neck pickup, to the bottom edge of the pickup cavity.

Actually, in '08 the Standard got the chambered treatment like Mark posted. I think that x-ray is actually of a BFG, but the Standards went to chambered in '08.

The 'Traditional' is Swiss cheesed instead of chambered. I'm not sure about Studios and Classics and Customs. The historic reissue stuff should be all solid, unless it's specifically listed as chambered, which I know some R8s are. There's also the older 'Cloud 9' that is chambered as well.

I love that big natural hollowbody laying on the floor there. That is absolutely stunning.

Someone likes black guitars!

Nice collection! :thu:

Yep. Classy!

I really dig the Squier tele smack in the middle with teh 2 P90's. Played one of those about 5 years ago and from that moment I've had my eyes opened for one. :thu:

I dig it. At some point, I'd like to replace the neck, but other than that, it's a great guitar for the $.

Thanks. It's actually a POS, but it looks cool.
:)

Neither did I. Was cleaning the house the other day and there they were.

Most are cheapos, tho, the only expensive guitar in the pic is the Ruokangas that's reclining on the couch.

'Tis a Finnish boutique brand, makers of lovely instruments, similar to Suhr or more conservative Tyler guitars. Mine's the V.S.O.P. King, and features three Ruokangas SingleSonic pickups, similar to P90's. The tremolo is a Wilkinson, and it has the Buzz Feiten tuning system.

It's been my #1 guitar ever since I bought it almost three years ago. Pricey, yes, but at the time I knew that I wanted to have one guitar to hold on to, one guitar that would bring a smile to my face ever time I picked it up and started playing. You know that feeling, I'm sure, and this one gives me that feeling.
