Time to show off your guitars!

All three of my electrics are built my Steve Benford - great guy and a great budget builder.

This is my first Benford. The bridge humbucker is coil tapped (using the tone knob) and the switch between the knobs is an on/off switch for the humbucker to have it on in any pickup switch position. That gives youuuuuuu (....6, 7, 8, removes shoe....), oh yeah, 11 different pickup combinations. The body is ash. I love this guitar - my #1 right now.

This is my newest Benford. I wanted a 'proper' Tele and this is it. Ash body again, and the pickups were custom wound for my but Clint Searcy of Searcy String Works. This guitars sounds and plays wonderfully.

This Benford is for sale to pay for the above Tele. Either that our the band better get more dates quick! Ash body again, and all three pickups are hot rails humbuckers. It sounds great and has plenty of 'umph' where it is needed. The neck pickup on this just sounds lush through a good clean amp. I should really keep this guitar......

I forgot my acoustic!!!

Takamine EF341SC. My Jersey Girl. I call it that because it is the stage guitar of choice for both Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi. It is a great stage player and because it's not a really expensive guitar I'm not as concerned about wear and tear from the club shows. My previous acoustic was a custom hand built by Rob Bustos (Paragon Guitars - which is just Rob) but I was too afraid to play that guitar at a bar....

Me neither, I've never done it before, sO i'm pretty clueless when it comes to this kind of thing. :'(

Do you have an account with Photobucket or one of those?

Just upload your picture there, then once its in, copy and past the IMG file address in your post.

Its free.

Alright, I think I've got it now.

One of my Les Paul's, given to me by Henrik Ostergaard of 80's metal band Dirty Looks. Yeah, I know -- lousy pics, but it's all I have at the moment.

I like it! If I was shopping for a Les Paul that's what I would be looking for...I ended up with my "Latte Cream" because it sounded too good to leave in the store.... :-[

I hear ya. I noticed on your pics above that yours has a flame top, too. Hadn't noticed that before, although you've shown pics of it before.

The best thing about this guitar? Real, original '58 PAF's (uncovered). It was a total custom shop job, too. Still not exactly sure why he gave it to me, either. The reason he gave me and what I think it was are two different things, though it'd be a long and boring story, frankly.

Thats awesome that you have original PAF's in it ....do you have any clips of this guitar?

Well, hmmm...let me see. I don't have clips of anything, but I do remember some of the sessions I played it on. I'll dig them up and convert to mp3, I guess. I suppose I can't use Photobucket for those, can I? Anyway, the neck pickup on that thing is instant Jimmy Page -- startlingly so.

Actually I use soundclick for a bunch of the streaming audio and its free...

It would be cool to hear it!

My "No-namer"

IMG_1005.jpg

I really want a Ric 620 - nice guitar!!!

And the 'No-namer' looks a lot like a Memphis I owned back in 1980. Probably the same guitar made in the same factory just w/out the headstock decal - or maybe just removed....

Pic from 1980......

The Ric is a cool guitar, but I don't play it much..Thredlok wants to steal it from me, too ;D

I saw your post about your Memphis a while ago, so I think thats what it must be...mine has a wierd mish mosh of pickups in it...a Hot Rail that was in my Tokai back in High School and the neck pickup belonged to Alan Holdsworth and was given to my buddy Scott by a mutual engineer friend...it imparts no magic to the guitar, however :P

Soundclick is blocked at work, apparently. Any other options?

Found some more, and I took a picture of my '86 custom shop BC Rich ST-III that I have sitting next to me in my office. I tend to rotate what guitar I have in my office every few months.
