Writing. I suspect that I may take some breaks to surf the net, hang out here and at GJ, take a shower, maybe play some guitar or piano or something. I'll probably have to feed or rock or walk with someone, at some point. Maybe change a diaper or two.

Before I go to bed, I'll prepare apple juice soaked muesli for tomorrow morning.

My last student just walked out the door and now I have 30 minutes or so of work on backing tracks before I can go home. I'm hungry. :mad:

They're mostly from the last 10 years, though some are from the '80s and '90s. This essay is an extended version of the review of literature you would use for a research proposal justifying a new research project.

Actually, no. It's just a hypothetical topic that I chose because I had to choose something. As interested as I am in Nixon and the '50s-'70s, I think that when I get around to doing my own research in a year or so, I'm going to focus on the history of everyday life in the 1980s and '90s -- specifically amongst self-identified suburban outsiders and countercultural types. White people studies stuff. History of adolescent experiences. Frankly, there's just a lot more room to work without having to fend of the boomers and cultural conservative revisionists. I'm particularly interested in oral histories and experiences that are neither fish nor fowl -- things like local suburban punk scenes that are commercial experiences and authentic community experiences at the same time.
