Home today. Got 3 new inches of snow on top of the foot we already had. Forecast is for 8-12 more inches of this white shit.

I am seriously wanting a move to somewhere that never gets snow! I've had enough!

If you want to trade the snow for moderate rain and potential flooding there's a unit next door to me available. Pretty nice place.

I'd love to be in Richmond Hill again! I could probably snag a civillian contract job at Ft. Stewart. Mrs. Peace is a nurse with her BSN, so it'd be easy enough for her to get a job. But damn that's far from family... I'll start packing now

My laptop finally went kaput. I bought it in 2003 for $2400!! How times have changed in the tech world. I should be able to replace it with something so much more powerful for about $400.

Right now walmart really hates me, because I have bought and returned 3 tablets... I think I finally settled on one though. Going with the Acer Iconia 10.1. I bought and returned a Galaxy Tab 2 7", a Nexus 7, and an Asus Transformer 10".

The Galaxy had the coolest options /interface. The Nexus was the fastest and the best screen. The Asus was just as fast as the nexus with the Tegra Quad Core, but the screen resolution was not as good. The Acer Iconia is most likely similar to the Asus, same Nvidia Tegra processor, etc... Teh Iphone is jus ttoo damn small, and I think a 10" tab will be easy for answering emails n such..

Morning

Yesterday was the start of my rotational night shift. On the clock from 3-12. Number of service calls dispatched to me: 0. Thankfully, we will be seeing installation activity pick up in March; that will give us more work...potentially.

The Iconias are nice - I had the A200 for a couple of months after I sold my original iPad. It was a nice tablet, but the software was a bit buggy, and I missed the iPad experience. I ended up getting an iPad Mini, and for me it is PERFECT - very portable, yet the screen being nearly 8" isn't too small, which is what kept me from getting the Samsung and Nexus 7" tabs.

Morning

Back in the offices.

Mrs Woody took some time off to be with new dog, Skye. He is used to kenneling,so that will be a help until we can trust him to roam the house when we are both at work. Skye is warming up to me. We think he had an issue with a man earlier in his life- but he seems to be getting over that quickly, and trusting me.

My wife is a civilian DOD psychologist at FT. Stewart. I'm sure she has contacts.

My wife already got a notice of the imminent mandatory furlough. Between that and the income tax increase, things are pretty crappy.

There are more Swedes and Norwegian's in MN' but Wisconsin has many, but I think the biggest percentage is German, probably followed by English immagrants. My Dad's family lived in Barneveld. My Mom's family lived in Janesville.

That's me, German, English, Irish. I was born in Platteville, where the Bears had their training camp before they moved to Bourbonais, IL. Been through Beloit and Janesville hundreds of times, had two roommates who both went to Beloit College. SW WI is pretty country, rolling hills that escaped the glacial scrape last ice age. Have cousins in Brainerd.

My new job seems to be working out just fine. I also will be doing some buying for the store as I told the owner that there were a few high profit products he needed to have.

I'm looking to go to a Spring Training game as the Cards are about 20 minutes from me. That should be fun as my flaky friend will be going with me.

Evenin. Man, I had a long mid day nap! I think I will be up all night....

a little more amp pron.... The B-52 head is pretty much finished. Instead of using the B52 logo from the 2 x 12, I am thinking of using a B-52 Stratofortress logo as a tribute to my Grandpa. He was a Boeing Engineer and B-47 /B-52 instructor. A perfect fit for this amp.

If the Giants spring trained in FL, I'd go see them, but they don't. The Cards and Marlins use Roger Dean Stadium which is in Jupiter, FL. Just up the road from me.

tig, my friend doesn't have a mustache, at least I don't think SHE does. idn_smilie

Thanks Bob. I still want to try a mod podge cab like you do. I have an old Eminence Lucky Lady that needs a home. So, cab, sand, mod podge, material, mod podge, clear coat?

Afternoon y'all.
