The Great Deals Thread

So, it says hollow body. Looks like a semi. Is it really a hollow?

Looked at the questions, 235 of them, most questions were "when will this be in stock again?".

Right. That's why I started the post by saying "pigs fly" cause these sell out very quickly. Several YouTube reviews on these. They are semi hollow, 335 type.

Update: I am seeing red available too now.

Blue Encore mic series is going away, and closeouts are circa: now! all over the internet. The Encore300 (medium diaphragm condensor) is $99 - half price for a very solid alternative to an SM 58 beta.

I recently got the cheapie Encore 100 and was extremely pleasantly surprised (and appreciated it's current $49 price tag quite a bit).

Firefly Update: I just got my Firefly 335 type today. Just day one, but this is a great bargain. Mine arrived with no blemishes or scratches. I was thinking I might need to work on the fret ends, but mine was finished off better than my Artcore. Worst potential flaw - I lowered the strings and am getting a slight buzz on the G string at about the 5th fret. I will try to do a review in a couple days, but except for this one possible hickup, all hardware and electronics work. Pickups seem good. But more on those later.

Gretsch G2655T Streamliner Center Block Jr. - $300 shipped

That Gretsch would show up two days after I dropped $429 for a nice Asian semihollow on Reverb.

I've bought a couple (3) of guitars from Adorama, and they do have some smoking deals. However, be aware that their descriptions are not always spot-on. For example, I bought what was supposed to be a Duo Sonic S-H in LPB, but it turned out to be the S-S model. In the event, that turned out fine and I kept it, but they are not terribly astute in terms of guitar knowledge there (it being a sideline to their main 'focus' on photography).

But wouldn't there be photographs as part of the product description?

Well, thanks a lot :eyeroll:.

Just had to not let this one pass by

I was not looking to get this model, but these represent some of the last of the VMs, and are considered some of the best Squiers out there. Hell, if I had a little more pocket change, I woulda got one of each.
