It sure seemed like he was trying to make a bigger play than necessary, maybe he figured it was worth his reputation if it kept him in the show.

Next meeting between the two is Aug 12, but it's in Fla. I predict a pitch behind his head and a bench clearing brawl. Old time baseball.

...that would be ridiculous...the posey play went down exactly how it should have...thats how baseball is played...and sometimes, people get hurt...Posey himself said it was a clean play...

if i've learned anything in watching the Mets these past oh, 10 years, it's that people expect too much from their stars. management needs to expect more from the role players and bench guys and not overpay for their services. you can pitch around stars. but when you're getting good at-bats from everybody, those 14 hits turn into runs.
