Well guys and gals, unless I sell one of my guitars (which I'm not so sure I'd like to do at this time), the PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow Soapbar became a No Go option tonight. After I got home from work, I cleaned the cats' litter boxes. While I was walking past my car after disposing of the bagged cat litter in the dumpster, I took a look at my car's tires, and was shocked to see that the sidewall on the front passenger tire, was so badly cracked, that the tire could have failed at any time. With visions of a blow-out happening on I-94, during my 27 mile commute to work tomorrow morning, I frantically went looking for a service shop that could replace my tire, at 7 PM. The only one that was open, was Firestone. To top it off, the tread was worn past the limits on the other tires (so much for holding out on new tires, until the Summer). So, in a nutshell, I ended up replacing all of my tires. It cost me $410, using up over half of my profit sharing bonus I received at work today, and not leaving me with enough for the PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow Soapbar. I could possibly still buy the humbucker versionit on payments through Zzounds/AMS, but I don't know if I want to go that route.

Oh well. I'm not happy about it, but I feel lucky that I didn't find out about the bad tire the hard way - with a blowout on the freeway at 70 plus miles per hour.

That sucks, Ellen :( - maybe a good used one will pop up somewhere ? Better to be safe on four good tires, anyway.

Thats a drag, but like PRScott said, but than a blowout on the freeway....
