mornin everyone. D Man.. you have skill my friend.. Have you always written? I couldnt write to save my life. I couldnt get the first vid to load, but Rice Hotel was awesome, clear. I like songs that tell stories... that's nearly a lost art now. Also diggin the Vintage Club.. got one myself.. and it ain't goin nowhere.
DMAN,
I listened to your song. It is straight forward, and there is an honesty to it. I espeacilly liked the lyrics. I liked it.
I will listen to your Peavey exp stuff later today. I'm intesersted in hearing that too.

hiya Woody...whats shakin?
Hi Yavin, thanks for the input. I need it. We are trying to strike a deal on parts for Teles. We announced we were getting them, and then we switched vendors, so... damn, but we will have them. I think the price point will be close to 299. That side is more my brother (business partner), and what the books say we can do and stay afloat. Color suggestions always welcome... So far the most popular color choices are apple green metallic, vintage white, black, daphne blue...etc.
thank you
Oh no! USED to have a gretsch Brian hot rod!?

I only cut one song in the last few months. This was in my signature over at HC, but in case you have not heard it - called "Misty Smile". I hope to cut and upload more in the weeks to come. Not rock, not blues, not jazz - a different style.

NICE!!!
It was a nice guitar! But, I found the TV Jones TV Classics to be a bit too low output for my taste (filtertron-type pickups are typically very underwound for a humbucker [the ones in my Brian Setzer Hot Rod were only 4.5 kilo-ohms DC resistance, with average strength magnets]). Normally I would have just replaced the pickups, but like a Charvel Surfcaster I had back in the early 90s, that had Chandler lipsticks in it, it just seemed to be too nice of a guitar, to be modding, even if the mod was only a pickup swap. If you wish to see it, there's book that came out a few months ago, about the 6120 model Series Gretsches. The author needed a photo of a limed gold G6120LTV Brian Setzer Hot Rod, and at his request, I took a photo of mine for him to use in his book. The book is called:
The History of the Legendary Gretsch 6120: Evolution of a Species
It's by Edward Ball (who like me is a member of the Gretsch Discussion Pages), and is available from Amazon.com
Here's what a limed gold Brian Setzer Hot Rod looks like:
Hi Woody!
Ooohh, LOVE the green metallic/limed gold color Ken! I used to have a Gretsch Brian Setzer Hot Rod in that color!
Damon - nice story telling songs you wrote! Also, your Peavey sounds, and looks like a winner to me!
