Most likely, he'll decline your offer without actually making a counter offer, which is what every choad that provides a "best offer" option does. Instead of countering...you know, like a business transaction...he'll get all bent out of shape that you insulted his pickup with your low offer. Just my experience anyway.

Well, I was actually surprised. He accepted my offer on the Strummer pickup. so it is on the way. Can't wait to try it out. Output is nearly identical to my bridge pup, so it should blend nicely.

mornin everyone. D Man.. you have skill my friend.. Have you always written? I couldnt write to save my life. I couldnt get the first vid to load, but Rice Hotel was awesome, clear. I like songs that tell stories... that's nearly a lost art now. Also diggin the Vintage Club.. got one myself.. and it ain't goin nowhere.

Ken, I wish you had tele pups. I would have snagged some from you this week. I checked the site and didn't find anything.

I love the P90 version too. Pickguard is not bad at all. What colors and price point are you thinking? I would love to have one in Candy Tangerine with a white pearl PG and white binding.

Hey woody. Still no takers on the Wilshire? Man! I really like the looks of those guitars and the price is good too.

I think that looks good with the black covers, and knobs. I thought maybe cream - but you gotta have some contrast.

Mornin! Yea, for sure the contrast.. but its so subjective. We all have different tastes. Makes is harder to set how to do it. So 3 prototypes to shop to the mom and pop stores. Flat top with humbuckers, flat top with P90's, carved with humbuckers. Hopefully I can get the local stores to ok one of them.

Hi Yavin, thanks for the input. I need it. We are trying to strike a deal on parts for Teles. We announced we were getting them, and then we switched vendors, so... damn, but we will have them. I think the price point will be close to 299. That side is more my brother (business partner), and what the books say we can do and stay afloat. Color suggestions always welcome... So far the most popular color choices are apple green metallic, vintage white, black, daphne blue...etc.

oh and the logo... we cant decide on a logo style.. thats driving me crazy. I like the surfboard style logo, but if you aren't familiar with our pickups logo, it doesnt make sense...

Darn. I should not have started reading the thread. Now I am thinking I want one. (Gotta sell some stuff first.)

I like the way that soapy looks!

Blasphemy! That was my favorite PRS SE.

That's great news, Ellen! Here's another vote for the soapbar.

I'm sure you have checked Dave's store, yes?

Hi guys & gals! I just checked Dave's inventory online, like 5 minutes ago. OMG!!! Dave's (Guitar) has 2 NEW PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow Soapbars in stock!!! Now I'M REALLY MESSED UP!! It's making my decision soooooo hard! Especially since he's asking $550 new for one of them, and my bonus was significicantly more than I expected, which means I wouldn't have to go the AMS/Sweetwater/Sameday Music/Zzounds route of using a payment plan (which would limit me to the humbucker version of the SE Custom Semi-Hollow).

Dave's is where I used to get all of my good gear I gigged with, back in the 90s - making a 500 plus mile roundtrip from one side of the state (from my hometown of Manitowoc - which is on the shore of Lake Michigan), to the other side of the state (Dave's is in La Crosse, which is on the Mississippi). I haven't been to Dave's in a dog's age! I'd still have to drive 240 miles one way, but he always has such cool stuff! We'll see. Maybe this weekend, if my parents don't come to visit on Saturday, it might be worth the trip - especially since, I won't have to take crappy little 2-lane state highways, this time.
