Well, I got logged in, browsed around a bit, made a couple of posts, and I still hate it. :cry: Can't stand all that crap on the right hand side.

How is it that Mark Wein was able to upgrade to a new forum format, by himself while still running his business, without fucking it up anywhere near as bad as the whole commitee of professional writers and tech head guys and people who get paid to do it over there?

Never do anything by committee.
 
It's already improved a little; they've added a post number indicator on the main thread page, rather than just a view counter.

My main gripe is that there's no way (as far as I can tell as yet) that discerns between threads you've read, threads you haven't, and threads you've contributed to.
 
My HC activity had already decreased considerably during this past year, so it's not like this is a big blow for me. Still, I registered back in 2003, it was my first forum and I specifically created the 'Yngtchie Blacksteen' moniker prior to joining it, so it does mean a lot to me.

Fuck that forum indeed.

Well, I thought I'd go check it out. Turns out that even once I've reset my password I can't log in. Fuck it, looks like I'm a full time weiner now.
