RIP Taylor Hawkins

Not much of a Foo Fighters fan but he always seemed like a really fun guy and you could tell he loved his job. Real shame.

He was a super nice guy. A decent drummer too.

A person with substance abuse issues in the past dying in a hotel room in Bogata doesn't sound very good to me. He was a great drummer and my condolences go out to his family, bandmates, and friends.

They're saying the ambulance was called to the hotel on the complaint of chest pains and he was dead when they arrived. Not sure what the source was anymore, I lost the thread.

So sad. I took my older two kids to see the Foo Fighters at the Gorge and George in 2015, and we sprinted down and got spots on the rail of the finger stage they were using that tour. The band came out at the end, and Taylor specifically looked at my two kids who were ecstatic, and gave them a high sign and a wink. He just seemed happy to see them happy. Dane and I got to see him at Ohana fest this past fall, heading up NHC (Navarro Hawkins Chaney) This one is a crusher. Here he is. He was having so much fun and was so much fun to watch.



This will have been the last time I saw him play live. Freaking Animal from Sesame Street at times. To my just so much fun to watch.

My first thoughts were "yeah, Bogota Columbia....." and people will go oh no another drug overdose but IDK. Everybody has a vicxe of some sort. Some candles burn fast and are gone quick and others slow burn and barely cast ba light. If some grass and dope and booze made his candle glow then whatever cuz it was just one of many things which made him the dude he was. He always seemed happy, positive and joyful and it was infectious, even just watching his upbeat smile and stuff in videos.....

The article mentioned 10 substances and the first was weed. Two others can be prescription. The opioid too. Who knows really. I loved him and I cried. I don’t get it and guess I won’t. Kind loving people drop all the time to soon.
