Morning

Day 'off' yesterday, youngest daughter had Scarlet Fever. She's covered in a rash. Poor thing, hahaha.

Did I miss anything?
 
Afternoon folk with gainful employment :embarrassed:

On the upside being semi employed means I have plenty of time to mark the pile of exam papers I've got sitting there.

On the downside it means I don't really have an excuse for not doing them.

Got an interview next Friday. Not getting too excited as the last handful I've been to have all had internal applicants but I know the headmaster of this school fairly well and he knows I'm ruddy good at what I do so here's hoping. If nothing else, a permanent job would mean I don't need to take up this stupid exam marking shite at this time of year :embarrassed:

Oh yeah bbq / housewarming at mine on Saturday - none of you are invited :mad:

Optimism is the word of the day. Just booked our first camping excursion of the year. mrs_huge and I shall be heading off down to Wiltshire next week to loaf about for a few days and possibly check out some stones and old stuff, whilst keeping a wary eye on the weather. :shrug:

Good luck in Wiltshire the_huge, avoid Trowbridge and Swindon if at all possible. Both full of chavs.

Felt totally embarrassed this morning. Just filled up my car with petrol and bought lunch... card declined :mad: Turns out, due to an error, wages have been delayed for a day. :mad:

Oh and camping! Yes!

We're going in either Holland or Germany next weekend, not this one coming, the one after. With friends and so kids and bbq and hopefully nice weather.

I do like a bit of chaos

I still get diesel from that place at least once a week. The 'incident' has totally spoilt my diesel pumping fun though.

woke up to see find some chalk markings on my stairs.

Might be totally innocent and have been left by someone's boots but it might be gypo scum marking the place for a break in.

Unbeknownst to them, I'll be in all day and they really don't want to be trying to come in here if I've got the element of surprise on them :embarrassed:
 
Morning all. Bad luck Wok, only had the wages paid late once in 11 years in my current job but it was a pain in the arse.

Well I know they do it down South but use codes and stuff whereas this was just small lines along the edge of the steps so as I say, it might be nothing.

My gf reckons what they did with our friend's parents a few weeks back was see if anyone was in, mark it and then come back later.

I phoned the police to see what they had to say and the girl said she'd never heard of that :shrug: but just to be extra vigilant and shit.

I must say being fairly fit and strong is quite nice: I used to be able to boss guys who were much bigger physically around the old boxing gym and I am confident that if anyone does try anything, I'll be able to deal with it - within the constrains of the law of course :embarrassed:
