I was asked to cover for a colleague at our hub today.

1 kid turned up so I got sent home after an hour

I get paid a set minimum if I work a full shift. Otherwise I would have done the same
 
My back eased off so I did the plumbing job this weekend I had not been able to do over Easter. This morning it appears the plug fitting in the sink is leaking a bit after passing my initial testing yesterday so will have to take it apart tonight and fix it somehow.

I f*cking hate plumbing.

You're not wrong about the sunny, yet cold, wok, even at the weekend. I cycled from the City Centre out to Crammond in the sun on Sunday, thinking this is great, then turned round to come home and had an icy-cold headwind the whole way back. I was absolutely freezing by the time I got back.

Yeah, standing in the queue at the bank just now in a t-shirt. It’s sunny but the wind is absolutely freezing! Going for a nice drive after on my day off from... driving :lol:

suppose it’s better than rain.
 
Nice but really windy here.

Read a couple of articles this morning. Doesn't look like I'll be back at work before the Summer holidays and the head of our biggest union says even reopening in August is optimistic as it stands. :(

Just my luck I met my new girlfriend just before the lockdown. Not being able to see her is torture :cry:
 
Could be worse, you could have been trapped in the same place as her and be getting told what to do all the time! :wink:

Ugh, my grandma passed away this morning... Not unexpected, still sucks with all this shit going on. At least it was quick and painless... And it's sort of epic that it took a pandemic to get the indestructible hag down :wink:
