Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Went through to Edinburgh for the Fringe yesterday.

Was total tat. We saw one dude do a funny musical thing but apart from that it was the usual yuppy nonsense dreamed up by middle class wankers. "What's that you say, a Jane Austen themed pun tastic murder mystery?"

I will be going the coming week. Looking forward to it :embarrassed:

Highlight of my day. Taking out the sink in our downstairs toilet without flooding the house.

Despite the best effort of some 1970s bodge it plumber putting the most bends I have ever seen into a 1 ft long pipe, I managed to work it to fit some isolation valves and get the water back on to the rest of the house without requiring Noah's Ark. Some wine will be consumed as that's what we've got in the fridge.

In other news, just got word that I'll be doing an artist in residence on an island off the coast of south west Finland next summer. :thu:

Which artist will you be doing?

It had to happen sometime with the shit weather here: I woke up 3 in the morning, shivering, sweating and a pounding headache. I think it’s safe to say I am ill.

Spent all day sleeping, still got a terrible headache. Ugh

Well that's crap. Hope you get better soon, wok.

I've just spent the best part of the weekend looking for a black v-neck jumper for my son. If you think that would be easy, you'd be wrong. Holy crap. Ended up having to order it online and picking it up today.

I stayed in bed for 2 days, was better on sat. I went to Edinburgh yesterday with my daughter. Had a great time. I like the atmosphere during the festival

Even for myself, I rarely go to shops anymore for clothing, I order most things online now

Yeah, I think I might start moving in that direction. I already get all my t-shirts online.

Problem is that in Kirkcaldy, there aren't many good shops for clothing. So rather than wasting an entire day driving around looking for anything I might like, I just go online. I can take the 2-3 day wait.

I feel kind of bad because I am part guilty of the demise of the traditional high street, but what can you do

I always feel that kinda guilt, until I go to the traditional high street shops and remember that they only sell clothes I don't want at ludicrous prices :embarrassed:

Tonight's gig shall be an interesting one.

They want karaoke despite me telling them I'm not set up for karaoke, the mixer will sound pish because it's made for DJing - i.e. they barely use the mic if at all - and I'm not getting karaoke tracks so they can sing over the top.

They have numerous "dedications" to deceased family members with the ensuing funeral song dirges - happy thoughts for a wedding reception.

There is more than 1 R Kelly song on the must play list.

If I'd actually met the couple before hand I'd probably have told them I wasn't playing R Kelly but they cheaped out on their package too so here we are.

Full day wedding tomorrow with a very boho couple who have basically told me what she wants to walk down the aisle to and then I've to do whatever I want including first dance!
