Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Fucking melting :embarrassed:

Poor isolation where I live, so with the temps now when the sun sets I got about 30 degrees inside (as well as outside). Yikes.
This of course means I'm going to get shitfaced. :embarrassed:

Fwiw I do drink a lot of water these days.

I was in doing shitty diy work most of the day - the kind that starts out simple then ends up being a total pain in the hole - so never really noticed the heat.

It was melting yesterday though.

I flew my drone out over Loch Lomond at my gig tonight, first time ever going over water and it performed like a champ and came back dry / with no barnacles so I'm very happy :embarrassed:

Went for a 15k bike ride last night and I was actually cold for most of it. Overcast + seawind = unpleasantness

Today isn’t much better, and I am tired as well. But hey, upwards! and all that jazz...

Oh yeah, got more gigs coming up, the first one next Sunday! :headbang:

grrrr, some people are just :gah:

Scheduled a shift from 12-7pm. Finished up a last job about 10 mins from base at 6.50pm. On my drive home controller tries to push through another job for 7pm. WTF I said I would finish at 7, NOT do a last job at 7 which would mean I would be back around 7.30. And then they got all angry with me, saying that it was a job on the way back. I don't CARE! I NEED to finish at 7, not 7.30, or I would have scheduled shift for 7.30!

Realised today I have less money than I thought :embarrassed:

Gonna be beans on toast for the coming week

You could have bought yourself a nice tiger loaf or seeded Sourdough instead of hovis shit

I don’t eat bread :embarrassed:

Anyhoo, turns out I was still owed money from translation work, so it worked out ok.

So last night got a taste of what or’s like to be a touring band.

Dropped my daughter off at 4pm at her mum’s. ( so far the non-band stuff). Drove our gear to the venue about 20 miles up the road, unloaded gear, set up, line check, played 25 mins set, took gear off stage ( so the next band could set up - it was a festival), loaded gear into car ready to leave.

I was absolutely exhausted :embarrassed:

I was 19 hours door to door for my gig on Saturday

Went through to Edinburgh for the Fringe yesterday.

Was total tat. We saw one dude do a funny musical thing but apart from that it was the usual yuppy nonsense dreamed up by middle class wankers. "What's that you say, a Jane Austen themed pun tastic murder mystery?"
