Jesus fucking christ. Karaoke at a wedding? Shoot me now

My sister had it at hers but it was my bro in law who booked it and he's a dick :embarrassed:

I think the term 'scum' is rather apt to describe this lot.

12 years next month I've DJ'd and she is BY far the drunkest bride I've ever came across and I'm talking before the first dance.

Apparently the groom was too drunk to stand during his speech and just mumbled.

Bridal party refused to get up for their song: "WE DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT FUCKING COW, WE JUST GATECRASHED@ cackle.

On th episode there's no fucking way any of them are getting near my 800 quid mic so no karaoke.

12 years next month since my first ever DJ gig and this is the SCUMMIEST worst one I've ever done

As long as you get paid...

I'm paid in full 28 days in advance. The photographer hadn't been paid yet and her stance was - well if they don't pay, they don't get the photos but this lot probably wouldn't have been bothered by that imo.

Saturdays wedding was a totally different affair - lovely couple who totally transformed their garden for the wedding - I'm not talking about wiring up a marquee, this was like the VIP areas at festivals. A brilliant day. Ironically the bride ended up having to go to bed early because she'd battered into the open bar margaritas a bit hard but even though everyone was well oiled, they knew how to conduct themselves.

The life of a wedding photographer must be hard enough with everyone having mobile phones, must be a nightmare wasting a day and not getting paid.

They probably get a lot of "opportunities" and offers to do it for "exposure" :') It's already bad enough in the creative field if you have skills that people perceive as hard, let alone photography nowadays...

Reactions: wok
True but the same can be said of DJing with laptops and setting up being so cheap to do these days.

Quality will always stand out from the crap - Saturdays wedding was a whole day shot but I grossed close to 3 weeks of my teaching salary... Im not in competition with the cowboys or hobbyists and neither are the better togs out there.
