Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Evening all. Been a long week at work (one of too many recently) and feeling absolutely shattered as a result. Achieved very little today which is not good with the amount of fairly urgent things that need doing. Hopefully have a little more get up and go tomorrow. Hope your weekends are being more successful.

My weekend is busy, but have no choice but getting work done: driving taxi until 8pm, translation until midnight.

Tomorrow I have my daughter until 4pm, then again translation work until late.

I think I might take a day or two off next week

Greetings from Georgia. First time in a while just traveling for fun instead of work. From the few hours I've been here, this place is strange :embarrassed:

I hope you are still alive and well

Still alive, though barely :embarrassed:

Tbilisi is an amazing place. Awesome food, even greater wine, pretty cheap, beautiful, the people are nice if you get used to them. I really didn't expect it to be as nice as it was.

Are the people as nice as the Dutch?

[/sarcasm]

Got a flu going on. Probably the 30 hour drinking/airplane streak on my way back from Tbilisi and the 20 degree temperature change didn't help much :embarrassed:

Farage's bumhole I hope.

Of only.

But they are not even an actual political party. They are a privately owned company. You can’t join, but you can ‘sponsor’ them. And they have no political manifesto.

No doubt plenty of idiots will vote for them

Evening all, had the audition tonight. Due to a lot of crap happening at work and with my son's 6th form college, I got bugger all prep done but then the bass player didn't turn up tonight as he had to rush his missus off to the hospital. As a result it was a bit rough but I got on ok with the other guitarist and drummer and we jammed through some stuff. At the moment I have been asked back next week for another go with the bass player so I'll take that as a positive. Fingers crossed.

sat most of the day roasting in a taxi waiting for clients. It's like as soon as it becomes sunny and warm, Scottish people start realising that you can walk places

Well the nice weather has well and truly fucked off.

I'll pre-empt the weekend thread by saying gigs. nowt but gigs - didn't even get my obligatory hot tub wine after last nights as I'm doing two corp events yesterday and today and a wedding last night.

I did clip together a wee video from yesterdays day event (Not sure how good it'll look on YouTube but it's in glorious HD) Was quite fun. I usually do a little montage for my wedding couples but this is the first corporate one I've done. Going to stash it away and maybe look into it as a sideline when I get bored / too old for the DJing.

Had the second audition for this band tonight. Was under prepared again due to work sending me to London, Derby and London again this past week but got a few hours in today so had made some progress. Bass player turned up this time and I have feeling he and I are on the same wavelength, sensed some musical understanding going on there. We got through more songs than we did the first time including a couple out of my old catalogue and they want me back again. Not been told I'm in the band for definite yet but it appears to be going in the right direction.

I made the mistake of going on Twitter

People demouncing Farage getting milkshaked. I don’t get the outrage. I thought these rightwingers were all about ‘Britishness’? What is more British than throwing food at a politician? It’s an age-old tradition...

On a serious note, where was their outrage when an anti-Brexit politician got murdered?

I am starting to wonder more and more whether I want to stay in this country and have my daughter grow up here. Mind you, Holland is getting increasingly radical right-wing :facetime:

Ireland maybe?
