On the road!

Took a back road to Lansing, MI today. Between Eaton Rapids & Lansing, M-99 is a 4 lane divided highway. As I was passing an intersection I happened to glance over and saw a red Karmann Ghia pulled over into what looked like a little car pool-like parking area. The driver had his head down, probably checking his phone or some such. At least he was pulled over to do it.

It didn't have the solid-looking wheels like that one does ^^, but the car looked to be in very nice shape.

I haven't seen a Karmann Ghia in a long time.

Yes. I think it was 75 when the rubber bumpers showed up that they went to one carb for emissions. I worked for a British Leyland dealer and had the tools to balance the carbs. It was something I was really good at. You know why the British drink warm beer? Lucas makes refrigerators.
