OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

I still think the only way for H to beat strump is to have the youth vote. The only way she will get that is if Bernie is on her ticket. A Clinton/Warren ticket will get beat by trump/cruz, and that would be a VERY bad thing.

If he loses the nomination, he will not run. He wouldn't want to split the D voters and allow Trump in. Even though I think Trump's run is only to ensure a Clinton win. It didn't go exactly as they planned though. He is winning the nomination, when I think, he was trying to lose so he could run as a third party and split the R votes so she easily win.

To clarify: are you saying that you believe Trump's campaign to be a conspiracy and/or Trojan horse?

Call it what you want, but Trump and the Clintons have been friends for over 20 years. She has been the front runner since she lost the nomination to Obama. Trump is all about getting his face and name on TV and I don't believe he wants the job, he would have to give up running his Trump enterprise and I don't think his ego could take that. Plus he has said in the past he is more a Democrat and he even has praised Obama in the past.

I refuse to believe that any candidate, including Bernie, is in this for us. That being the case I am always shocked at how enthusiastically seemingly intelligent people will support a candidate. At some point I think we need to understand that we need to stop worrying so much about who sits in the oval office and turn our energy toward actual government reform.

I've heard the term campaign reform and I assume it can mean many things to many people but until there is a way to keep money and special interest from running the government, we all lose. Someone other than the government should take a serious look at campaign financing, term limits, pet projects, compensation packages for legislators, etc. Maybe the fact that we are in a position where our choices for President are what they are can be a big enough push to get people to take a look at what changes would actually make things better for people. I don't have high hopes just watching people support these candidates with such passion.

those are all good points and would be great if there were a way to accomplish them.
unfortunately, i don't believe there will be a way to remove giant global corporations from running our government. the money is just TOO BIG. we had a war in Iraq that cost over a TRILLION dollars and it was ALL about PROFIT.
there were not WMD's.....there were no terrorist training camps. it was all a lie, so some folks/corps (military-industrial complex) could walk away with hundreds of billions in profit.
with that kind of $$ involved, you can't get rid of it. you would have to wipe the earth clean of humans and start over.

The term is campaign finance reform. And you are exactly right. The only way to fix our political system is to remove the money and special interest. The problem is that the people who need to remove it, are the ones who benefit from it.

I'd add term limits.

Public service should be about serving the public not getting wined and dined and making 100s of thousands of dollars for speaking engagements.

I think there are ways to do it but the hardest issue is to find a way for us to stop being so caught up in Trump vs. Hillary or D vs. R. Actually, the most difficult part is that it seems there is no way to find the real truth. There is no journalism anymore so you cant trust anything reported on tv or internet.

In other words there must be people out there who know the actual truth behind the political world. So why can't we have an impartial body make the whole truth available in a way that those of us who have locked into a party or philosophy will understand that change is needed, even in our own party/philosophy? Something to get us all together to root out those who need rooting out? Are we capable of joining forces for truth? Or are we so ingrained in D vs. R that we are just going to keep eating what they are feeding us? Are we just going to keep insulting the other team thinking that is going to make change?

Maybe something as simple as a list of incumbents so we can vote every single one out. Or maybe we ALL just request a change in our voter's registration at the same time to all be independent or not attached to a party.

Yes. Make it volunteer. Maybe throw in a free box lunch when in session.
