Now that we're into a couple weeks of Corvfefe what have you been creating in the kitchen?

Planning on doing crawfish etouffee tonight. We'll see how I feel. Been really unhungry the last 2 days.

I've been in that place we all find ourselves occasionally where we just want to eat someone else's cooking. Had lame take out Mexican last night and now I'm tempted to make carnitas and do it right.

I made the beef. Whole family LOVED it. Thanks for the heads up and recipe!
We did tacos the first night and nachos with the leftovers.

Glad you liked it man. We're set for the rest of the week but I may do it again over the weekend.

I only just poured the leftover gravy away this afternoon - we had steaks on Sunday and I applied it liberally to everything on the plate - including the steak which I usually never touch. Amazing.

You've really got to stop posting these. I'm so jealous of the food you eat. I can make it myself, but my kids wouldn't eat most of it so then I end up cooking 2 meals.
Damn that looks delicious!

THAT is stone cold munchy box fodder, how could a kid not like it?!?

Next time I'm going to stick it in a wrap with cheese and loads of sauce.

My children are not normal. They don't like cheese! What fucking alien spawn children have I birthed?

Yeah mate that's fucked up actually :embarrassed:

I didn't get the spice mix - Mrs JBJ was meant to write it down but stopped halfway through for some daft reason!!! but you end up with a tonne more than you need so I've mixed some into mayo and chucked it in the fridge - I'm calling it munchybox sauce. :thu:

I bought some grass feds stew meat at the Narural grocers today....I am going to make beef stroganoff tonight with some trumpets instead of egg noodles since they were out of those. and some white shrooms i got today..gonna use some of my jumbo 20 gallon tub of sour cream i bought at Costco last weekend for like 1.99 *spits*

Remember those fancy organic ny strips I ordered online, that had good flavor but were a little tough? Today I took the 3 that were left and ground them into burgers.

As burgers, they were amazing.

We had fire cracker salmon.

Garlic, ginger, olive oil, soy sauce, hot sauce, sriracha, pepper flakes.

Paprika salt and pepper shakers n the fish.

Mix, marinade, chuck in the Foodi to airfry for 10 minutes

Chips were incredible - the photo really doesn't do it justice.

Did a herb lemon and parmesan crust on the fish. Wasn't mind blowing but a nice meal all the same.

If nothing else I'll be much more confident cooking fish when this is over. Ignore the dry bread, Mrs JBJ is a philistine.

Mrs JBJ has been making this once a week since lockdown and it's great. I have never liked Sweet n Sour because of the pineapple chunks and this removes them in aid of pineapple juice

She used breast tonight so it was a bit drier but thigh is the go to and I'd be happy to have it served to me in a restaurant:

I'm pretty much in a COVID rut at this point. I've worked through most of the weird leftovers in the freezer, tried the interesting recipes in the cookbooks I got before the library closed down, and never know what the grocery store will be sold out of so I don't want to plan on anything that requires an unusual ingredient. Once the garden gets cranking, I'll have gluts that will require creativity, but until then, it's been eggs, pasta, burgers, stir fries, and soup, interspersed with an increase in take out from our favorite struggling local places.
