NFL 2017-18 Thread

Does anything make a Sunday better than the Cowboys losing a home game in the last minute of the game? Me thinks the answer to that is no.

Your thinking is wrong, wrong, wrong. One thing that would make a Sunday better is, the Packers loosing.

Last season was something else and a true thriller....this season with all the issues going on in the NFL, I just can't get into it. Yeah my team is struggling but that really has nothing to do with it. Oh well, may enjoy it more as the season pushes on.

So now the Texans are without JJ Watt for the rest of the year (at least) and without another A-team defender for a few weeks (at least).

Everything's fine. :)

I feel like this is the greatest sports photo of all time.

Y. A. Tittle Rest In Peace.

There are so many hockey photos that are better than those. I would guess hundreds but I won't post one because this is a football thread.

Mitchell Trubisky is looking pretty darned good so far. Granted it's only been thru one half of football. The Bears are shooting themselves in the foot due to penalties though.

Damn, the niners are finding new ways to fail. I didn't see the game against the redskins, but as usual they fell a few points short. So tell me, were the redskins as bad as the niners or did the niners play up ? Also, they way they handled the Bowman issue (that they created) was horrible. As long as Jed York is involved it will continue to be a clusterfuck.

Skins were up 17-0 and rolling and then football happened.

1. Skins suffered a pair of injuries to the already depleted secondary
2. Niners went to Plan B and put in the rookie QB and started running no-huddle and slinging it all over the yard.

Niners are pretty frisky for 0-6 and the Beathard kid can play. They'll start winning soon. Maybe in Dallas this Sunday...

Take out the 49ers loss to the Panthers in week 1 and they have lost all their games by 3 or less and 3 have gone into overtime. They aren't nearly as bad as their record indicates. In the West, the Rams are in first and the Skins beat them in LA. I think they are in for a much better second half of the season. Hopefully they stick with Bethard for a while. Sure he'll make some rookie mistakes, but he looked much better then the guy who started the game for them.

Agreed. I'm not liking what I have seen from Hoyer so far.

The injuries this year are really adding up.

The injuries are significant in that they are occurring to players that are the faces of their franchise if not the league. OBJ, Rogers and Watt are hugely popular among a lot of fans and they won't be playing at all (likely) the rest of this year.
