NFL 2017-18 Thread

I don't hate the Skins. I'm more indifferent than anything else. When the Eagles are not in contention for the division, I would rather see the Skins win than NY or Dallass.

I'm actually the same. Philly is the least hated team in the East for me. I think that happened when McNabb was drafted. The way the Philly fans booed him on draft day made me want to see McNabb do well.

More misinformation. Those idiots, including Cataltdi, booed the pick, not Mcnabb. Many people wanted Ricky Williams instead of McNabb.

Philly fans need to expand their vocabulary somewhat. It's often difficult for outsiders to differentiate between Booo! and Boooo! Sure, it's clear to you, but......

Getting tired of wasting weekend time on the Raiders just to watch what I did yesterday. I regressed yesterday quite a bit, screaming at the top of my lungs 90% of the plays.

Maybe that’s a better way of saying it, but a bunch of fans never got over it even when McNabb proved beyond a shadow of a doubt he was the better choice. There are still fools here who think RGIII is better than Cousins.

After all the talk about Gronk, I have to say I do not support the Seahawks' players' actions on the kneel down play in their last game. Jefferson is tougher question, given the apparent beer throwing and racial taunting that seems to have occurred.

Doesn't make me like the kneel down play though.

If presented with a choice between wrestling drunken locals in Jacksonville or chartering a private jet to Seattle, take a deep breath...and get on the jet.

Apparently there is something to this fan thing.

Four fans banned by the Jags.

It's a little shocking to hear this. I had season tickets for the Redskins for decades. I've flown down to Jax for games and when I lived there, went to almost every home game. Jags games always were more laid back than skins games. The fans were nicer, there were no fights (that I saw) and usually a ton of fans from the opposing team there and everyone still seemed to get along. Maybe with the Jags doing well this season, they are attracting a different crowd. I'm glad to see the Jags be proactive and ban those people.

I went to the AFC Championship in Denver a couple years ago, completely decked out in Pats gear. I solemnly prepared my wife for Armageddon - we had stiff hats, raincoats, etc.

Cuz the last time I had gone to an NFL game was in Foxboro in the 80's ... which was, shall we say, not a family environment.

Folks in Denver couldn't have been nicer.

It's like we can't be decent about the important things (how we are going to govern our country), but where we ought to get the ya-ya's out (NFL stadia), we're all P's and Q's.

Can anyone give me a real explanation of why Blaine Gabbert is, not only still in the NFL, but starting a game and Colin Kapernick is unemployed? Is taking a knee during the anthem so bad a team would rather have Gabbert on the field? Man he is bad.

I've never understood why guys like Graham Harrell or (add other college stud QB's) are never even given a chance in the NFL, yet year after year there are QB's sitting on the sidelines, or even starting, that EVERYONE knows can't win in the NFL.

But yeah, I'd rather have Kapernick on my team instead of Gabbert :embarrassed:

It appears that the recent glory days for the Seahawks are officially over, for now. Well, time to rebuild I guess. Always a fan.
