NFL 2017-18 Thread

Eh...W/L record would show that to be demonstrably false. Brad Johnson was very, very good.

I heard today, Andy Dalton may be available after the season. Is he an upgrade? He knows Gruden's offense. I think if they can get him for $20 million, I'd take that over $30 to Kirk.

They just showed the division leaders for the NFC.

Eagles
Vikings
Saints
Rams

I don't think any of them can beat a Tom Brady-lead Patriots in a Superbowl, quite frankly.

Nobody thought a 9-7 Giants or a 10-6 wild card Giants could either.

OMFG! The Niners won a game! Sure, it was against the Giants, but the NINERS WON!!!!!

They actually looked fairly decent yesterday. Or did the Giants just suck THAT BAD?

Yeah, I know.

My son is pissed. A meaningless win that just puts them at that much more of a disadvantage come draft time...

Fun fact:

Kirk Cousins leads the league in fumbles with 9. He also has the most fumbles since the start of 2015.

27 fumbles in 41 games.

You like that?

LOL. We have enough draft picks. Holding out for #1 seems a bit misguided. The boys needed something to celebrate after so many close games.

Sad news about Marquise Goodwin's son though. I suspect the celebration was a bit muted because if it

Yeah, I wondered why he was so emotional after that TD. I thought it was because he has been very hard on himself for not making bigger plays, but now I understand. Very sad, but kudos to him for having it in him to deal with that loss and coming to the game, let alone performing at that level.

And if I were a Bills fan, I'd be thinking about adopting a new team.

Sean McDermott: Exhibit A in "how to lose the locker room in one dumb decision." Sheer AFC mediocrity gives the Bills a chance, but at this point you'd have to be a hardcore Kool Aid drinker to trust the coach 100%.

Postgame comments on the clearly terrified Peterson: "We'll evaluate the QB position this week."

What a good coach would say: "Tyrod came in and helped us to compete, it was a good effort. Next question."

Poor Bills fans. Lord, are they run by schmucks.

The Eagles are 9-1 after totally dominating Dallas by scoring 30 points in the second half and not allowing them to score a TD for a final score of 37-9. Every week this team continues to impress.

I am not one to give credit early (after RGIII rookie of the year to a total bust, I am a little gun shy) but Wentz looks to be the real deal. We'll have to see how he does in the playoffs, but he has made me want to smash my TV a few times this year
