Hey, I'm a Diehard Masshole and I thought the Chargers were a good, solid team coming in. And if you've been watching the Patriots, as TB said "everyone thinks we suck." I might've been in that group - the Pats have had huge issues on defense, particularly the LB corps.

Worth repeating from a couple weeks ago, the Skip Bayless "right twice a day" observation: we're one Rob Gronkowski missed tackle / Miami Miracle away from the Pats hosting the AFCCC. And that would not go well for the Chiefs at all.
If KC gets some of the same mystery officiating they'll win handily. Otherwise, that should be a good game.

Without a doubt the Patriots put on a clinic yesterday. Out of nowhere everything fell into place. Classic Pats. That's why I hate them so much. (I'm a Jaguars fan. We can't catch a break)

I'm hoping that next Sunday, America gets to know Stephon Gilmore. He did get beat - badly - on the Chargers' lone meaningful score, but that dude has had a season for the ages. If you're into new-era stats, you should check his out.
Hightower also looks like he's lost 20 lbs. Not sure if that's good, but it no longer appears that his role in the lateral running game is waving goodbye to running backs as they turn upfield.

By the time I got home from my ride Sunday and turned on the TV to watch what I hoped would be a good game, it was 38-7 so off went the TV and I didn't watch anymore football this weekend. I hate that the AFC games don't appear to be at all competitive (though the NFC ones were I just couldn't watch them). I don't have a dog in the race so I would like to see good competitive games, not sure that's in the cards for the the conference finals (though based on the 1st games in the regular season it should be I guess)
