National Football League 2018

What I'm fine with is all kinds of sad sack fans of loser franchises applying triple standards so they can feel justified in their simpering tantrums.

That's my favorite one.

I like you Danhedonia, but the Tuck Rule game killed the NFL for me. I still watch, but it's WWE entertainment now. Officiating is a complete joke.

And W/R/T to substance abuse policy of the NFL, please tell me how weed is a performance enhancing drug and not a viable alternative to prescription opiates/painkillers.

EDIT: Tangential, but i'd still like to hear opinions.

My views on PEDs changed a LOT over time, mostly due to my interest in cycling. I won't try to reprise entire books here, but one TLDR would be that "if athletes are destroying themselves, why is it considered 'unsporting' for them to receive what any ordinary person would if they presented to their doctor with the same symptoms?"

If it's a pulled muscle, that's one thing, but it isn't. Huge numbers of pro athletes suffer terribly after their careers, and I have a hard time justifying that for my personal entertainment.

In other words, I started thinking that denying athletes medical care is unethical.

Then again: bullfights.

Looks like you are playing the NFC North this year. I'm wondering what the Packers will be this year.
