Give me something to watch on Netflix

Yesterday I watched Intruder on Shudder. It’s a 1989 slasher with creative and pushing the R rating kills. The director was clearly a fan of Lucio Fulci’s violence but with a sense of humor and slightly better production values. When I saw the Full Moon logo pop up I had low expectations, but this goes far beyond most Full Moon films.

Not a fan of how Ozark ended, wrong for my liking.

Would rather they do a season to finish off Peaky Blinders rather than the proposed movie. Anyone know why it was cancelled? Ratings are less a real reason these days, just the excuse easiest to sell. More often than not it’s been production costs, paying the actors their market value as their stars rise, bigger scenarios and scenes costing more than the productions either want to spend or have to spend, etc.

I just finished Somebody Feed Phil, and it was a very enjoyable series. A good watch if you are a foodie, and like to learn a bit about international food and culture.

Forget if I already mentioned it, but The Expanse (on prime) has been pretty ok.
Pretty OK????

Considering how absolutely horrible most screen adaptations of science fiction novels are, The Expanse is awesome.

Not to say it is perfect by any stretch, but it solid and manages to stay that way for all 5 seasons.

Finished the new Stranger Things episodes over the weekend. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s set in my childhood, but I still am digging it.
I am enjoying it too. Darker this season, and they ratcheted up the horror film visuals some I think. and maybe it seems less fresh somehow, but that is how it is when the cute-ish younger middle schoolers grow up and get awkward and have awkward problems and all that.

I am thoroughly enjoying Moon Knight. Oscar Isaac is absolutely killing it.
I subscribed to Disney+ and am working my way through all the MCU movies and series in order. Moon Knight is coming up pretty soon. I am watching The Falcon And The Winter Soldier right now, which I like a lot, and I also really enjoyed WandaVision.

I was watching it with my oldest. After the first episode, I said this season is giving me huge Nightmare on Elm Street vibes. Then the cameo and Dustin mentioning Freddy Kruger made me think that’s what they were going for, and if so, they really nailed it.

We started watching Stranger Things a week ago. We’re on season 2. The new season just started and I got an alert where BC Rich is releasing a Stranger Things guitar, so there’s that.

We’re working our way through Stranger Things 4. It’s pretty rad, although it’s pretty obvious that the captain of the basketball team is too old to even captain a college team and that ruins some scenes.

I finished episode 3 and it's good. I always have intentions to just binge and blow through these ST seasons (I did with American Horror story too) but it never happens because I want to savor them like a fine Tina's burrito so I go slow....I do appreciate they are smoking pot on it now, bout time.
