The clueless parent is a nice touch. It reminds me of my eighties parents who got a list of drug use signs and for pot it said “odor of burnt hemp rope.” My dad was confused by that one because, like most people, he had never burned hemp rope. Burning rope was for finishing the ends of nylon.

Both my parents were middle school teachers and already had like 25 years teaching, the majority in s. AZ so they were hip to weed. I was just careful with it. I would do what they refer to these days as micro dosing....I'd load my little bong , take a hit and hold it then blew it out the window of my bedroom. Summers were best for it cuz the evap cooler but in the winters I'd do the same. I just made sure to hide out in my bedroom if stoned or to come home after the folks were in bed.

They knew, they were just letting you get away with it. At least that’s what my mom told me after I grew up and moved out

While I'm enjoying this series, I thought they went a bit over the top with Vader killing random people. In the films he usually killed people for a reason, either they failed to meet his expectations, or they were part of or supporting the rebellion.
 
I watched the first season of Dirk Gently on Hulu. It was goofy fun, but I doubt I'll watch season two.

Just found out that Neflix has season four of the Danish political drama "Borgen". It's kind of confusing because Netflix makes it sound like it is season one of a new version. I highly recommend this series. Think of it as a less cynical House of Cards.

I have one issue with it. I don’t want to spoil the show, but there is something in the show that really messes up the very beginning of A New Hope. It has to do with who Obi Wan is trying to rescue.

Actually it makes the opening of ANH make more sense to me.

that’s my working theory as well, he’s Ben. My 10 year old and I discussed it intensely at the bus stop today.

this series more than makes up for the book of boba train wreck

Maybe in between this and A New Hope he had a formal reprimand from the Empire Works Council.

I didn’t read them so i have no way to compare the two. The show has been entertaining during workouts but I don’t think I could have been bothered to just sit on my ass and watch it.

I hope the actress that plays Drummer (Cara Gee) goes on to do more, sometimes that character ate the scenery but other times she was fascinating and complex.

geek hat on, the inquisitors (albino dude, mushroom hat guy, and 3rd sister) were killing randos to draw out Jedi. Vader was doing the same. I heard hayden ad libbed some of that killing… and we all know what an amazing actor he is.
