Loved the premise and overall production, though the cliche overacting and mugging was a weak point for me. I learned to watch around it though.

Yup, definitely some aspects I didn’t care for but the overall look and suspense etc made it so enjoyable

Spoiler: My hot take

That episode would have had more impact if they didn't give Gi-hun & Sae-byeok easy ways out of their games. 001 giving Gi-hun absolution at the last moment was too tidy of a plot device to keep him as an empathetic protagonist. The show is entertaining & has good tension in the execution of the games but the character development is kinda shallow.

Chucky has a bad image in the UK due to the movies being linked to a child murder (by some other children). It may have been mostly the press sensationalising the link but it's stuck in the public consciousness now. Doubt the new series will get much publicity here.
