If you haven't already watched it, avoid Midnight Mass. It isn't that it's a bad show overall. It starts off great, builds wonderfully, but then turns to absolute rubbish in the last couple of episodes. The great start makes the terrible ending all the more painful.
And there are huge plot holes that will leave you going "WTF???"
Yes, that too. I got so tired of listening to Riley and Erin ramble on about life and philosophy. And none of it was pertinent to the plot.My main problem is that there are just too many monologues.
Many made the same criticism of Haunting of Hill House, but I didn't quite mind it there and didn't seem quite so excessive. This shows seems 90% monologues and heart to heart conversations. And like 10% something scary happens.
Exorcist seasons 1 and 2 are my gold standard for TV supernatural horror. Such a great series, they did the Friedkin original proud.Exorcist Season 1 and 2 are on Amazon Prime.
I just started the first episode of Oat Studio. So far it is pretty good dystopian scifi
EIT: It is apparently sort of like a collection of unrelated shorts.
Oat studio kind of in that these are dystopian stories, but the similarities end thereWhat's a good follow-up to Squid Game? I really enjoyed the look and the story. The gore and ultra violence not so much but if they serve a good story then it's cool.
Now for your penance type out 3 posts.Finished Midnight Mass over the weekend…good, liked the mistaken interpretation of events that the protagonists were operating under…liked all the end of live philosophies that were discussed…overall really good
Reservation Dogs and The Other Two are both fantastic. Very smart entertainment.
Now I really want to see it.Cats (2019) is on HBO Max.
Time to finally watch?
