No hate, Its very hard to tell if they are the real deal or not. A nice win against Oklahoma, the rest is meh. The quarterback is very good. The rest of the team is mediocre. Defense is not very good. I dont think the coach stacks up well against the level of coaching he would compete against in a BCS bowl. They also dont have a history of playing well in big games. They are 6-9 in bowls. Its possible they go undefeated but I think they will be a one loss team before the end of the season. They more than likely lose this week against Oklahoma State.

Pre-Season they had the toughest schedule, but the teams they've played have gone on to meh-ness. Sucks for them. But I doubt Oregon or KS will go undefeated, so if its just them and 'bama undefeated, they'll go.
 
Even though I am a Pac10 (now 12) guy, I have to go along with that pick for best game of those two as well. Oregon will likely run over the Trojans.

When ND beat Michigan and crushed Michigan State, both were ranked in the top 25... then they beat Stanford and Oklahoma, both ranked in the top 10 when they played.
 
Here's a scenario: LSU Beats Alabama. OSU beats KSU. Oregon and ND win out.

Will a 1 loss SEC team be able to jump an undefeated Oregon or ND to get to the championship?
 
Here is a question - it looks like there will be four undefeated teams at the end of the college season (Oregon, ND, Alabama, K. State). We need that dang playoff NOW - not next year. Aside from Alabama probably a shoo in - which two other teams get screwed out of a shot? I know for TV ratings the BCS people want ND in the game, but I don't know if they beat Oregon or K. State on a neutral field.

I think Alabama and Oregon will be the only undefeated teams. It's a travesty that Oregon will make the BCS, but they will.

I do think Oregon is the real deal this year - but the problem is that the PAC12 football wise is good but not great so they have not matched up against another elite team yet so we really won't know until the bowl games.

I don't see K. State losing again (OK State and Texas are both wins..) - and you think USC can beat ND? That is the only decent team ND plays for the rest of the season.

It just seems to me that ND always finds a way to fuck up. As much as I wish they finish undefeated. KS will lose one maybe two games. Oregon is merely a kind of ok team in a horrible conference.

Why would it be a travesty if they are undefeated and make it? They have finished in the top 4 the last 2 seasons and top 11 over the last 4. At least if they are undefeated, they will have won their conference championship and not made it to the finals without even playing in it :embarrassed:

Because they are awful. They are just lucky enough to play in the second worse conference in football.

When Miami won 2 national titles when they were in the Big East and Florida State won 2 from the ACC. A good team can play in a lousy conference.
