College football jam.....

Damn, all this college ball talk and no mention of the KSU Wildcats:thumbdown:

1. OU has an offense. What will ND's defense do when faced with an offense? OU is 5th best...the best ND has faced is (get this) Purdue at 49th (and they're only 49th because they racked up a ton of points against Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, and Marshall...their only three wins).
2. You're probably right. PSU has a tradition of choking against OSU and Michigan. But Purdue did take OSU to overtime. Purdue.
3. Florida will not beat Georgia. They will destroy Georgia. They will make Georgia wonder where the hell Athens is.
4. Alabama and MS...8 ball doesn't tell me much, but I think Alabama will stifle MS's offense, but the MS defense will keep it closer than a hammering.

Double Holy crap.

I wasn't surprised about the PSU v OSU result...I've seen it happen too many times. I was at the game though!

I was very very surprised by the ND v OU score. After watching most of ND's games this year, I thought they were a mediocre team with no offense and a good defense against teams that hadn't done anything on offense anyway. However, they shut OU down AND their own offense came alive. Total shock to me.

As for the Florida v. Georgia game, again I was surprised. I hadn't really paid any attention to Georgia and I tend to think of them as a team that's good for beating up on Kentucky and Vanderbilt, but not the real SEC teams. It seems the only team that shows up every week in the SEC is Alabama.

Yeah, I got destroyed. I fessed up, though.

I will tell you that I'm glad Ohio State isn't eligible for a bowl. Being undefeated would put us in the NC discussion and Alabama would destroy us. I honestly think that the only school that has a chance to beat them would be Florida State and they lost their way out of the discussion.

It would be interesting to see how Alabama handled the Oregon speed, but I don't think they stand a chance.

Hell, I'd like to see them play the Carolina Panthers.

Oregon is a joke. They would be slaughtered by Alabama. They will lose to any decent team they are paired with in a bowl game.

I don't remember what year it was, but the whole Oregon speed discussion was just like it is now and OSU had no chance against them in the Rose Bowl and we beat them soundly.

At the beginning of the year, everyone said ND had the toughest schedule. They are the only team to beat 4 in the top 25. If they beat USC and go undefeated, how can you not put them in the NC game?

When did anyone say that? ND has a fairly easy schedule. Who are these four 25 teams you are talking about?

Oklahoma is really the only good team they have played. Stanford is weak, so Michigan. USC is a nobody. The rest of their schedule is service academies and other teams that aren't of any consequence.
