College football jam.....

I do see you were referring to Florida's schedule.... and I agree that it's a tougher schedule than Alabama or Georgia. It really should be ND and Florida in the title game, so you should really be on the Anti-SEC Softee Schedule bandwagon as well, because the fluff in those two teams schedule is what's keeping florida out of the title game.

Well Georgia beat UF, so I would say they are the better team of the 2.

I will never get the BCS. Oregon and Bama both have 1 loss. The team that beat Bama is ranked 9 and the team that beat Oregon is ranked 8. But Oregon is 5th and Bama is 2, that makes no sense.

'Cause both of the teams that beat 'Bama & Oregon have 2 losses.

Even the best team in the nation can have a bad day and lose. Happens in the pros all the time, thats why the '72 Dolphins always pop that champagne cork when the last undefeated team of the season finally loses. I still feel 'Bama is the best team in the country, regardless of the one loss. And I still think that 'Bama & Ducks would've made the most interesting BCS game.

I guess I didn't make my point clear. Stanford is higher ranked than A&M, so by their ranking system, Oregon lost to a "better" team than Bama did, so Oregon should be ranked ahead of Bama. I am not saying they are better, just if you follow their ranking system, it seems kind of silly that Oregon is 3 places behind Bama when Oregon's loss was to a "better" team.

They are lower because their schedule is terrible, and they lose points for being in a weak conference.

Yeah, that's the thing about actually playing the games and having the outcomes decided on the field. Playoffs baby!

(BCS Ranking system stinks).

Both of those teams are mediocre at best. They have no business in any kind of a playoff. Most of the teams that have played so far have had no business in a bowl game either to be honest.

These lower middle bowls are tough to pick. Not particularly good teams with a lot of time off since their last game, a lot of coaches have left for other jobs or been fired. These games really dont represent how these teams played in the regular season. The good teams will start playing on New Years day and things will go back to normal.

BTW I with the Michigan St win, I lost every game yesterday. :annoyed:

I can't believe Mich. St. won that game. They sucked in the first half. Heck, they sucked all year long :(

Big-10 is what, 1-1 right now in bowls? Minnesota played very well against a fairly decent Texas Tech team too, which surprised me.

Ok, next season, lets just dispense with the whole thing, take Alabama and Florida or some other SEC team, play one damn game, and screw the rest. No reason for any other schools to even bother playing football, since they all suck so bad.

Your missing the point. It's not that the teams are bad so it's not worth having them play. The best record of a team in a bowl so far is 7-5, that's nothing to write home about. A third of the teams that have played so far don't have the coach that guided them through the regular season at the helm right now. So what I was getting at is with all of those variable's it's very hard to pick games.

The teams yet to play are more stable due to the coaches staying around and are easier to pick.

Maybe you could PM me with a few of your favorite picks? Just for fun. I'm clueless about college football so far. But i'll make a couple small bets.
