2019 Concert thread

Which hipster cider bar?
oop, didn't mean to omit that - sleeping village, it's not really a cider bar (more frou frou craft brewing stuff in general), but the last time I was there they had a shit ton of cider. also lots of 70s style wood paneling that was obviously not installed in the 70s.

Three shows this summer on the "legacy act" side.
  • Willie Nelson and Allison Krauss in June - Have seen Willie more times then I can remember, wasn't planning on it again (Willie's shows have gotten way shorter and his timing is gotten more erratic), but the wife wants to see Allison Krauss, so what the hey?
  • Weird Al in July - I have met Weird Al a few times, even held long conversations with him, he's a super nice guy, but never ever felt the need to see him live. But my wife and son insist.
  • Mark Knopfler in August - third time seeing him. Probably the last as well. His set list could use a shuffle, but looking forward all the same

Just got tix to the Outlaw Music Festival here, and I would not even consider going if AK wasn't gonna be there :embarrassed:

I was excited about seeing Gary Wright who was billed along with Ambrosia. My wife more was excited about seeing Ambrosia and I agreed to take her because I'd taken her to see Robin Trower against her wishes. Ambrosia was decent, although they have some guy who they hired as a singer who is a complete douche and ruined the whole set for me.
Gary Wright came out to sing four songs, two to recorded tracks for which he never found the key and the two songs with Ambrosia, Love is Alive and Dream Weaver.
I wouldn't intentionally go see either act again.

Did see Billy Joel last night who really is amazing. He has an amazing catalog to draw from, a great band, and he's personable and funny. Great show.

I'm definitely too old for a multi-day thing, even if it's at a bar, not a "fest", etc, but this is tempting. I would really like to see dead congregation live
