It has come to my attention that the Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead will play back2back in Boston on a Fri/Sat.
*neurons firing*
I can't let my wife know that or we will be spending the weekend in Boston.

I saw Nightwish last night at the State Theater in Kalamazoo.
They are doing their 20-year history tour, so playing a bunch of stuff from their back catalogue. They played three songs from their first album, which at the time they recorded it they thought it was only a demo for the record company, so that album is not the best song-wise or recording-wise. I'd seen Nightwish 4 times previously and had never seen them play a song from that album. It also surprised me that they didn't play anything from the Dark Passion Play album, but I guess they've been switching up some of the songs each night, so it's not the same setlist night after night.
Going to see Iced Earth in Chicago in a couple of hours
4th time I've seen Iced Earth, and it was pretty great Stu Block was in fine form, for being the last show on the tour, and the rest of the band sounded very good. I don't know how Schaffer does it. He's gotta be my age, and my wrist would cramp up big-time if I were to play those superfast galloping riffs like he does.Fuck yeah on Iced Earth! Let us know how it was!
