2018 Concert Thread

Going to another show, Kamelot, in Chicago on the 27th, up in Palmer Square/Bucktown, just a bit north of that show I went to a couple of weeks ago where my car side window got smashed in

Now if I could only find a 'safe', parking lot nearby, one with an attendant...

Any suggestions, @PunkKitty @Bob411 @Dew Knot Humps other Chicagoans?

That neighborhood is pretty safe. I park on the street there all the time. You’ll be fine with street parking—especially if you hide your valuables.

Not many lots in that area.

You could come up to my neighborhood in the land of Polish grannies and park and then just take the Blue Line down. I certainly won’t break into your rock wagon to steal metal CDs.

I'm in Illinois but way south of Chicago. I go once a year, once every couple of years. When I do, I have to ask here for advice.

I hate music festivals, and I really hate Perris (which is where it is this year), but that lineup. Also, I have to be fair, Austin Psychfest was amazing for years, and I think it's the same promoters.

I've only been to Perris once (to buy a guitar, actually), but it's a scarily shitty place from what I remember

Burnin' for You
Dancin' in the Ruins

Buck's Boogie
Then Came the Last Days of May

Hmmm, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo at the French Lick Hotel in July. Cheap seats are $50. To go, or not to go...

Pokey LaFarge right here in podunk, IN this fall - will definitely be there.

Delbert McClinton at the Handy Blues Fest in Henderson, KY. I saw him last summer at the Madison Ribberfest, and he put on a great show. I will absolutely be at Handy to catch Delbert. None of the other lineup looks inspiring.
