So one amp I sold and wished I had back is a Traynor DG60r. All SS but wonderful tone with a Celestion speaker, and Contour control. I had been looking off and on, and I did see one at a GC in CO. It might have a couple dings - hard to see from the photo - but they price was ridiculously cheap. So I pulled the trigger. It looks like this...

Now I did get the Red Stripe Bandit not long ago - but I could not pass this up. If I decide to return it I am only out $12 shipping. And I think I have a buyer for one of my speaker cabs, and that should free up some space for the Traynor.

Let's hold off on hnad. Got a note from the CO GC. They say there is an issue w/ the Traynor. I talked w/ a mgr out there. They are going to send it to a repair shop to see what's up. The person I spoke with did not know details. She just sai "it did not work". :facepalm:
 
Phew -- the youngest kid is finally finished! 'Course, she's looking at grad school next year, but that'll be her problem...

Oh -- she went to Stanford yesterday to meet a friend, and they had lunch at the graduate school of business there. She noted "this would be a good place to go husband-shopping!" -- I guess her education wasn't for naught! :grin:

She's thinking better than most. As long as she doesn't bring home an unemployed asshole with gauged out ears, and face tattoos then you've done a good job.
 
Very productive day, got bass and acoustic gtr recorded on 4 tunes (one of them my recordingfest entry).
Btw, the combination of a good bass amp with 4 10s and an MD421 is heavenly. :)

Now refreshing lager beer, scotch and what's left of the Champions League final. :thu:

So in gear news, there was a problem w/ the Traynor DG60. Apparently bad transformer. Too expensive to fix. There is a used DG65 available and I have just been turning that idea over in my mind.

In Tweaked news, I got the replacement power tube - the Russian 6p3s. I experienced the same lose in power symptoms so I think I am just giving up on those tubes for my Tweaker. I did some research and ordered some JJ 6L6 GC's. I wanted to try something different from the Groove Tube 6V6. These JJ's are supposed to deliver better definition, and more in both bottom and high clarity. We shall see.

The Schecter gold top was out for delivery, but I was not there to sign. I expect to see that by Wed.
