WTF: The Third Installement Of The Thread About Nothing

My father's day/birthday present arrived yesterday. I've been GASing for a quality sounding stage piano more than a 600 patch all in one synth, and this is it.

This thing sounds and plays great! The key action is solid yet not heavy. 30 very realistic voices with layering of any 2. The tremolo electric piano is mesmerizing. Also, there's plenty of adjustability if needed, and the basic operation is super easy.

Damnit.

That hurts.
anifp

I'd love a serious synth, but they gets pricey.

I stopped at a friend's house to pick up a guitar that he wants me to install some pickups in. It turns out that he lives across the street from one of my favorite German restaurants. So I went to the restaurant for dinner. I don't think I'll ever go to a German restaurant alone again. Usually when I go to a restaurant or bar alone I just eat at the bar. I did that tonight. There were a lot of people there that reminded me family members that I want nothing to do with. I ended up eating quickly and getting out of there asap. It just triggered my depression. It just reminded me how much I dislike most of the people in my family.

I just bought a ticket to see Book of Mormon. I want to see it before it leaves Chicago. I managed to score a front row balcony seat so it shouldn't be bad.

That's killer.

 happy gear day to all, mojo for Depression for those who need it.

I got my workbench amp. Mustang III V2. This will replace my Kustom Solo 16 amp that has been on my workbench since 2005. I wanted somethign substantial this go round so i steered clear of the I and II models.

Got the TC Helicon Harmony Singer pedal yesterday (after going with the wife to buy her a new car --- long story!) and have basically hooked it up to the Tele, my mike, and run it through the little Vox Mini3. It's pretty dang cool! The reverb is a bit over-the-top for the guitar, but it actually works pretty well for the vocals, and the "tone" control and harmony settings are adding a lot to my voice. I'll try to post a video, but first I have to drive the daughter to a party and clean the master bath and then pick up the wife after her work -- after having had to go out earlier, drop her off and get some diatomaceous earth (our kitchen is being invaded by ants...) busy day!

Dinner. Chicken with chili, cumin, garlic seasoning topped with a homemade hell fire sauce. Black beans and rice, fried plantains, and a tomato, red onion, cucumber salad with balsamic vinegrette.
And yes, thats Natty Light. Im slumming it for Fathers day weekend.

hey all. considering getting a melody maker special. got a line one for, what seems to be, a reasonable price. any thoughts or opinions

Never seen one in person, no opinion. Looks like the new price is $429, so maybe $200 - $250 used.

Hey Monika: Wanna trade families (not my wife and kids, but my birth family)? Most folks think they're titz, but they make me want to bite my tongue off....

Hey All. Happy Father's Day to all deserving.

Jerry, back in Dec I got one of the MM from M123 for 366.90. Had it for a few weeks before I upgraded it to a Les Paul Special for a dollars more.

 Sup folks. Happy Fathers Day.

I've been playing around with the Mustang III. This is my 4th Mustang. I must like them since I keep going back. I had a II, 2 V's. and this III V2. The V2 is nice. I have not had any Mustang amps that suffered from the Fizz that some have had. Today I messed with some speakers in separate cabs, including, the Celestion G12 T100 (stock), Eminence Lady Luck, Weber Thames, and some Bugera that I have had laying around for some reason.

The OEM G12 T100 has non broken in Boxy tone that sounds great for Fender cleans, The Eminence Lady Luck sounds weak, the Thames sounds thick, and the Bugera is just perfect for the Fender cleans. Couldn't believe that it's the one that stays in the Mustang. I suspect that if I gave the Celestion some time to break in in may sound better, but for now... it sits.

I have my eye on a couple of WGS speakers, the G12 C/S (sounds gorgeous to my ears), and the HM75 to tackle the gain side of things....
