WTF: The Third Installement Of The Thread About Nothing

I got my Thinline Tele today. I like it!

I also sold my Ibanez Artcore AM93. That was my 335 style guitar. I think I may have made a mistake selling that. I'll need to get a Heritage to replace it.

It's a nice Tele. But I don't love it. I like the neck. But the pickups sound like PAFs. I can get similar sounds out of my Heritages. This one will probably get resold.

I dunno -- I'm still having trouble wrapping my mind around an MIC with the name "Fender" on it... Just not there yet!

HNGD PK!

scored a Tokai 57 PAF the other day. roadkill or the babycaster may be getting a new pup! just not sure which one to put it in.

Hi, Jurrrrrry!

Yeah, got mine today. Gave it just a quick test drive to see if maybe I really wanted to keep it before taking photos and boxing it right back up for flippage. It looks really good, feels really good, but sounds real "meh" - no likey the wide-range pickups. VERY bland. Needless to say, I did not change my mind.

The "wide-range" pickups in today's Fenders bear no resemblance (except for the cover) to the CuNiFe pickups of old. I had an original custom (standard bridge PU, Wide-range in the neck) and the voicing of that pickup was much more cutting than any HB I've heard before or since...

This, there is one guy in the UK that makes the magnet composition in adjustable screw form. Either that, or try alnico IV bars to get it closer to the original in "airyness"

Now I remember why I hate using Craigslist to sell things. People always offer ridiculously low prices for what you are offering. There's the creep factor. People don't show up. And people try to scam. I'm thinking of moving everything over to ebay and just dealing with their ridiculous fees.
