Bob, my daughter played bassoon for HS band. She used one of the school's crappy ones; we actually paid to have it refurbed. Yeah, wanna talk about expensive? DECENT bassoons start around 3 large...I would guess you're combing CL.

I'm going to make a small teaching pedalboard with the looper, my Barber UnLTD that I took out of my big board and a tuner.

I bought a couple of pedals for my other rigs a few weeks ago but I'm a little tired of not having just these basics to use here at work. The looper I'll end up using a ton in private lessons and it'll be nice just to have a small setup I can carry around from room to room here that will get me through the day without me unpacking either gig rig.
 
I'm not sure how my son is going to take this -- he was unemployed for two years after getting his BA. My daughter just came back from getting her degree, and applied for a job, was interviewed and got it... It's only a part-time thing (build-a-bear store), but I think the fact that he spent most of 2009-10 without getting any responses and she got a hit the first time out the door might sting... Of course, he should realize that he's a guy, whereas she's a rather striking young woman. Think that makes a difference????
