While that is true, the show has steered so far from the comics, I'm not sure why they had to stay true to it for that.
I don't think that's true at all. The show has some extra stuff and a couple of things have taken a different direction but the overall storyline is very close to the comics.

Andrea died early so the love affair with Rick won't ever happen but other than that and a few extra characters it's spot on.

Kirkman said that the show is a place to explore some things he could have done with the comic but didn't. Otherwise he's sticking to the script.
As for over the top violence, that's pretty much over as far as Negan goes. He does that first impression thing but from here on out he is just a tyrant type of character. He doesn't want to kill people. Everything he does, he does for the greater good of his group. He's not just a mindless murderer.

One last thing. If anyone is hoping to see him get what's coming to him, you might be disappointed in the resolution. Just saying.

I don't care, she annoys me to no end. I know it's nitpicking and kinda trivial but that damn accent she has is one of the major factors plus she's a douchebag :embarrassed:

Not only do I disagree on all counts, she freaking gorgeous...not that that matters, but she's the most nice to look at for me.

somehow this pic got lost in the posting...

https://www.pastemagazine.com/artic...g-differences-between-the-walking-dead-t.html

And differences from just the season 7 premier
http://screenrant.com/walking-dead-season-7-premiere-similarities-differences-comic-tv-show/

Seems like there are more than a few differences and they could have easily omitted the terribly done Glenn head shot with the eye.

Why omit Popeye Glenn?

My fav part about the ultra-violence of that episode is that it shows just how ridiculous U.S. TV censorship is.

Serious blood, guts, and violence = no problem.

Certain words, and boobs = bedlam.

The eye was kinda gross, but I was more bothered by the dented in forehead into Glenn's previously very well functioning frontal lobe, and his attempts to speak. Having had a mother-in-law basically lose the power of speech through dementia, that sudden, and irreversible, change to Glenn's persona, while some bit of function still existed, was just about torture to watch.

An 18 year old girl can't legally have a sip of wine in America.

She can however be in a room and have 30 guys stand in line to paint a map of Hawaii on her face for $100 AS LONG AS ITS ON FILM and that is totally legal.

Yeah the censorship is insane. Josh Norman called the NFL out last week. He said the NFL flagged him for shooting a fake bow and arrow but advertise beer and boner pills.

#4 in your first link proves it's unreliable I found since she's SLEEPING WITH RICK.
