Space X launching people today! Who's watching?

It's an absolute downpour here. I am an hour north of Canaveral so if they're launching from there, good luck. What time is the launch scheduled for?
Oh and it is big time thunder and lightning.
 
We are. My son (who wants to become an aeronautical engineer of some type) is super excited about it. Me too, for that matter.
 
Launch time is 16:33 Eastern time. I'll be watching, but it's looking like it'll be delayed most likely. The launch window on the Falcon is pretty small as I recall. If the weather doesn't cooperate, it'll be a scrub today.
 
I’ll be there in a week and a half and was hoping to get to see the launch. “Crosses fingers”. It’s pretty spectacular, especially at night.
 
Definitely watching but will likely be delayed. I think 5/30 and 5/31 are the backup dates.

I fucking hate Elon, but will give him a pass for this historic launch. First commercial manned space flight launch.

No, he is a twat. Look at the name he gave his kid for starters. He is well known to not have much if any concern for people in his companies. Plenty of ex SpaceX and ex Tesla employees telling the same tale. He has spouted any number of Trumpian conspiracy theories lately, including a few covid related ones. He went against county and state covid-19 policies and ordered the Tesla plant in Alameda county to ramp up and forced employees to violate the SIP protocols or lose their jobs. SpaceX Florida operations went unchecked even when NASA shut down the majority of their activities. He's just a giant megalomaniac with some flashes of brilliance. I love what he has done with SpaceX in regards to technology and reducing the cost of launching flight hardware. I just wish he wasn't such a flaming douchebag.

I do want one of his flamethrowers though. Just for research of course.

I believe you are the one that said it's because he's a billion times more wealthy than you.

I don't care how much money he has, but he should treat his employees better and follow the law in the state he does business in.

FWIW, I have 6 satellites worth a total of 95M going up on 2 of his rockets in the next month. So I am personally involved in what that little asshole does, both good and bad. I met him once, and so that may have jaded my impression of him. He takes himself VERY seriously.

It has cleared up quite a bit here since the earlier hell storm so who knows if they'll scrub or not. About a year ago I flew from Houston to Orlando with some SpaceX engineers. If they didn't have their jackets/shirts on with the logo I would have thought they were in a rock band together. Bunch of disheveled looking road worn long haired dudes. They were really cool to talk to though.
I remember they were pissed about their schedules at the time. The one guy said he had been on the road for close to 6 months and was slated to go home in a couple weeks but got called back out for another project.
