Space X launching people today! Who's watching?

It has cleared up quite a bit here since the earlier hell storm so who knows if they'll scrub or not. About a year ago I flew from Houston to Orlando with some SpaceX engineers. If they didn't have their jackets/shirts on with the logo I would have thought they were in a rock band together. Bunch of disheveled looking road worn long haired dudes. They were really cool to talk to though.
I remember they were pissed about their schedules at the time. The one guy said he had been on the road for close to 6 months and was slated to go home in a couple weeks but got called back out for another project.

Welcome to commercial aerospace!

We think our boss is dressing up if we see him with shoes on.

It's a whole different world than old school aerospace.

Well, if I didn't get it from the previous post I certainly got it from this one.

how the fuck did you get that from my post?
I believe you are the one that said it's because he's a billion times more wealthy than you.

I don't care how much money he has, but he should treat his employees better and follow the law in the state he does business in.

JFC, you are really on a fucking roll.

Edit:
Oops, smarter not wealthier. But your point is made.

FWIW, I have 6 satellites worth a total of 95M going up on 2 of his rockets in the next month. So I am personally involved in what that little asshole does, both good and bad. I met him once, and so that may have jaded my impression of him. He takes himself VERY seriously.

Love the sparse cockpit. Just touchscreen displays. Of course neither astronaut is acting as a pilot, they are just 'along for the ride' unless shit goes bad.

Elon Musk is such a douchebag that it cancels any break through in science he makes. He is a shit human being....comparable with D. trump. He has no redeeming qualities.

Donald Trump never built anything. (and keep your fucking politics in the political forum) Elon Musk falls into the list of people who are credited for building America. There's a hell of difference. See, there are those who work in the industry. You can be a janitor and work in the industry and you'll be remembered the same as. Then there are people like Elon Musk. It's the same anywhere and everywhere.

Elon Musk
Andrew Carnegie
Thomas Edison
Henry Ford
Henry Clay Frick
J. P. Morgan
Junius Spencer Morgan
John D. Rockefeller
Charles M. Schwab
Thomas A. Scott
Nikola Tesla
Cornelius Vanderbilt
William Henry Vanderbilt
George Westinghouse

I hate that we've fucked up NASA enough that they not only must depend on a private company for flight, but one owned by Mad Scientist version of Charlie Sheen... Elon Musk. Sucks it was canceled.

So, you are a fan. Cool. Most of the people who you listed were also horrible human beings. Henry Ford goes straight to the top of that list.

As for implying that janitors are 'in the industry', yeah NO.

I perform environmental testing of space flight hardware and certify spacecraft as flight ready. I also build & test space cameras and have spent hundreds of hours on 39A. Who are you again?

Two things can be true at the same time; A person can be morally terrible, yet make significant contributions in their field. Such is the case with Henry Ford (and arguably Musk). Ford revolutionized manufacturing with the assembly line...a practice that was adopted worldwide. At the same time, he was a terrible anti-semite and lauded by the Nazi party. The latter does not take away his contributions to the former.
