that is something that i seriously worry about. nothing gets stupid people behind a corrupt president (or so-called president) faster than an attack on the homeland, whether it is a real attack from outside (surprise) or one that is known and allowed to happen for political purposes.
and these mutherfuckers absolutely WOULD do that or have it done.
 
One of the very best things about sarcasm/irony is that it helps me identify people who don't understand it. That's incredibly valuable knowledge.

I hate 'sarcasm voice' for that reason; it defeats the purpose.

The email thing has been out in the press for a few weeks and doesn't really seem to be getting much traction. I think it might be due to people assuming that big oil companies and climate change is the same as tobacco companies and cancer....of course they know. It is probably a bit of a reach to relate this to SEC filings & business forecasts (especially relating this to very recent history & the lack of scientific disagreement w/r/t climate change).

But given the role of the Sec of State in this administration, the diminished foreign policy directive & how they are gutting the department of career diplomats, I don't know if it really matters who's name is on the letterhead. Though, I am curious why a guy who just months ago was a titan of the business world would want to be the guy who is just minding the store while it's being effectively shut down.
 
he didnt even want the job, his wife told him to take it. he has cancelled diplomatic dinners bc he was too tired and had to sleep. he's not going to a nato gathering to go visit russia. he has also cut off all media coverage of him except for one alt right group.

we are living in a really pathetic and embarrassing time.

Gullibility/paranoia/lack of critical thinking skills/ignorance/poor education + the rise of for-profit propaganda. 60 Minutes just did an interesting piece on fake news, of course you'd have to contain a shred of reason and attention span to understand what was conveyed. Therein lies part of the problem.
