Nothing they do is going to matter. The GOP runs the country. They’ve gerrymandered themselves a permanent majority in the house and many state houses. That gives them the best stream of senate candidates and leverage to use against anyone funding serious opposition. In a few years the court will be packed with GOP operatives. The religious right took over the military colleges years ago, so they’ll run the entire military after a few years of retirements and rigged promotions/appointments. Gun groups and militia movements are a paramilitary force waiting to be mobilized. Democrats aren’t going to win seats and replace Trump loyalists and save American democracy. In the next two election cycles disloyal republicans will be replaced with those who obey Trump’s decrees. The 2022 election will just a a show. Trump is our Mugabe, and he’s not going anywhere until old age takes him.
