Nobody is attacking you. You are in the minority of boomers, just like my folks. It what happens when people generalize. For the most part, boomers are a huge problem. Some of their problem is just the numbers, some of the problem is they are the ones keeping Fox news in business. We still love you Gooz and nobody wants to kill you off. Well, maybe somebody does, but it isn't me :grin:

I have to disagree with the generalization that boomers are the problem. All of the boomers I know are very wary of the republican party and Trump because of the party's insistence that "entitlements" have to be cut. We boomers are at a point where "entitlements" are a core part of our retirement strategy.

From what I've seen, the 35 to 45 year olds are much more likely to be watching Fox news and complaining about their taxes supporting handouts.

My dad, volunteers for his local Lions club. He is the youngest member at 66. He is the only person in the entire club who did not vote for Trump. Just as you pointed out before, people don't always vote their best interests and even though boomers need social security and medicare, doesn't mean they will vote that way.

Agreed. @mongooz is very much in the minority.

Do you know how many people of the Boomer generation I've met that vote against things that would help their own children and grandchildren because "I'm going to be dead when this means anything, so why should I?"

I don't think anyone has blamed everyone in a particular group, at least I haven't. I think the real issue with boomers is just the numbers. There are so many, it is going to be hard to keep medicare and social security going. And when I say hard, I mean the right won't give up a penny in defense to take care of a generation of people like they should.
