OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

Just for a moment I'd like to stop rooting for D's vs R's as if they were college football teams.

Just for a moment, isn't it fair to say that Donald Trump, no matter what side of the aisle we are on, isn't good at this job?

Does that need to be partisan? I mean were talking about a person who is irrationally tweeting about wiretapping, nato, chicago etc.

Can't we draw the line and agree that"something ain't right here?"
Unfortunately No.

Too many of the people that voted for him now feel they need to justify their purchase, just like George Costanza driving around"John Voigt's" car.

Agreed. The team mentalities in American politics kill me. I remember in the Bush years I came to hate living in DC because the liberals went bonkers comparing Bush and evangelicals to Nazis and fascists, which was hardly true at the time. Then Obama could do no wrong. When it was exposed that he had allowed the NSA to illegally spy on millions of Americans, he did no wrong. When he allowed the military to commit war crimes by using drone strikes to kill first responders, he did no wrong. When he helped topple Quaddafi, turning Libya to shit, he did no wrong. His utterly inept handling of Syria? Did no wrong. And now they’re surprised to see Republicans acting like Trump does no wrong. Sigh…

NSA = shit, but shit that wasn't only a continuation of the new norm after 9/11, but he could have stopped it and didn't.

Drone war was shit period. All war is.

No one shed a tear for Qaddafi or Hussein at the time, now all of a sudden hind sight is 20/20. We should generally keep our hands off of the arab world for at least 20 years.

See above post, Syria was a damned if you do or don't scenario, but I do remember Obama being reluctant to arm the rebels stating that the arms could go to terrorists, eventually reluctantly giving into republican pressure led by McCain to fund the rebels. Only to be stabbed in the back by the same GOP which well now tell you he "created ISIS" with those funds.

I blame the WWF for giving the Donald his platform. He travelled around the whole US and saw the shear numbers of people willing to cheer on crap no matter how fake it is. Folks that see no irony in going to watch it in the Jaffa Mosque in Altoona and then yelling "kill that raghead" when the Iron Shiek walks out. Somewhere, sometime in that mess he saw the opportunity to exploit these folks. Which is precisely why you see that level of cognitive dissonance in his followers. These are the same folks that watch WWF weekly and think it's real, no matter how many times they watch a fake hit.

What did the World Wildlife Fund ever do to you? ???

After daddy lost his job in the seal clubbing business it all went tits up for us.

Understandable.

Seal population is out of control, they're overpopulated and are hurting the fishery. And both seal meat and seal fur are great.

Activists should pursue a real problem.

The power of the propaganda.

Instability in Libya and Syria = feigned outrage.
Planes flying into the WTC, anthrax in your mailbox and the worst economy in 100 years = patriotic fervor and pride!

That's the strongest kool-aid of all time, right there.

That's not what I'm seeing...most of the DJT supporters I know are silent on the wealthcare debate but still vocally supportive of just about everything else.
Not sure how accurate the polling I've been reading is but one of the trends that's still present is that DJT supporters have more confidence in him than in the Republican run Congress. Overall, R/conservative voters still have a positive approval of his administration and actions.

There's some interesting analysis on the healthcare proposal that sees the House approving the proposal because they need to remain aligned w/ the Administration but it looks likely the Senate will kill it. Effectively, those House reps will be going down as voting to take insurance away from their constituents on what was a dead-end vote in the first place. Could spell more trouble for them in their home districts.

I'd she gets a little bit better at reading and gets her teeth bleached she could be the next Tomi Lahren.

At least she didn't retreat to her car to record that, of course she probably doesn't own one, damn hillbilly.

This makes me want to bash my head against the wall it is so stupid http://mojo.ly/2nP5P3u

"I hurl myself against the wall, cuz I'd rather feel bad than feel nothing at all." Zevon knew what was up. His music often fits these times.

Pixies version is fun.

Here he is.

And yeah, right now it ain't that pretty at all in our government. I think we can agree on that, despite whatever side of the aisle.

EDIT: PS, I miss Zevon.

This, I just don't get. Meet The Press mentioned the Credibility Gap today.

Mexico will pay for the wall

Your healthcare will be better and cost a fraction of what it costs now

Obama wiretapped Trump Tower

and on and on and....

I've never liked the Republicans. I expect Fox News, Limbaugh, etc. to lie but, actual Republican senators, representatives, you don't expect everything the say to be a lie. They may be horrible people but, they don't say one thing then, do something else. That's waht I don't get with Trump, how do his supporters still support him?
